The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), more commonly known as the International Baccalaureate (IB), is a nonprofit foundation headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, and founded in 1968. It offers four educational programmes: the IB Diploma Programme and the IB Career-related Programme for students aged 15 to 19, the IB Middle Years Programme for students aged 11 to 16, and the IB Primary Years Programme for children aged three to 12. To teach these programmes, schools must be authorized by the International Baccalaureate.

The British International School of Washington (BISW) is a private, nonsectarian, co-educational British school located in the Georgetown neighborhood near the border of the Georgetown and Glover Park neighborhoods in Washington, D.C. BISW educates pupils between the ages of 2 and 18. BISW was originally founded in September 1998 by Dr. Lesley Stagg. In 2013, BISW joined Nord Anglia Education, an international education provider owned by the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. BISW leases property from Georgetown University, yet GU's Green Building was purchased in 2009 by the entity that is now HUB Properties Trust.
United World College East Africa (UWCEA) is an independent international school in Tanzania, and a member of the United World Colleges movement. Established in 1969 as International School Moshi, the school is based on two campuses on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru near the city of Moshi, the capital of the Kilimanjaro region in north eastern Tanzania.
The Academia Británica Cuscatleca (ABC) is an established and highly regarded international bilingual school in El Salvador. The International School Augsburg (ISA) is an English-speaking private all-day school in Gersthofen, a town near Augsburg. International School Suva (ISS) is an independent, co-educational day school in Laucala Beach Estate in Suva, Fiji, offers preschool, primary and secondary education. The curriculum provided at International School Suva includes the International Baccalaureate, the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and the Australian Capital Territory Senior Secondary Certificate (ACT) and Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR). The school was funded in 1973, and it provides an education for around 500 students representing over 40 different nations from preschool to secondary school. There are currently 80 staff, with 35 from local Fijian community and 11 from North America and the United Kingdom. ISS is the only international school that delivers the International Baccalaureate programme in Fiji. In addition, all year 11 and year 12 students are expected to complete either the Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) programme or the Creative, Action, Service (CAS) programme as one of the extracurricular programmes.
