The International Syrian Tour, is a men's stage cycle race which takes place in Syria and is rated by the UCI as 2.2 [1] since 2022. [2] It is part of the UCI Asia Tour. Professional road cycling competitions were resumed in Syria after eleven-years hiatus.

Contents

The first edition was in 2022, from 4 October to 8 October, and lasted for four days. The tour routes commences from Qardaha and it passes through Tartus and Jableh, and then it finishes at Latakia. [3] [ unreliable source? ]

In 2017 the team took an international direction, still supported by Igor Makarov's company ARETI International Group, clothing company Katusha Sports and German shampoo manufacturer Alpecin. The International Tour of Hellas is a road bicycle racing stage race. It consists of five stages and is usually held between April and May. The race was first held in 1968 as the Antiquities Trophy, and was later known as the Tour of Hellas . The race was held sporadically from 1968 until 2012. The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) made the race part of the UCI Europe Tour in 2005; the race had previously been held as an amateur event. The race was revived in 2022 as a category 2.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour.

The 2022 UCI Women's World Tour was a competition that included twenty-three road cycling events throughout the 2022 women's cycling season. It was the seventh edition of the UCI Women's World Tour, the ranking system launched by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in 2016. The competition began with Strade Bianche on 5 March, and finished with the final stage of the Tour de Romandie Féminin on 9 October.
