Arista Records, Inc. is an American record label owned by Sony Music Entertainment and previously handled by Bertelsmann Music Group. The label was founded in 1974 by Clive Davis, who formerly worked for Columbia Records. Until its demise in 2011, it was a major distributor and promoter of albums throughout the United States and the United Kingdom. Today, the label's reissues and catalogue releases are handled by RCA Records and Legacy Recordings.

Emily Williams is a New Zealand singer, songwriter and actress. She rose to fame in 2005 on the third season of Australian Idol and became the runner-up of the competition. After Idol, Williams signed with Sony BMG Australia and enjoyed commercial success as a member of the Australian girl group Young Divas. The group released two top-ten albums, Young Divas (2006) and New Attitude (2007), and achieved three top-fifteen singles, including the hugely successful "This Time I Know It's for Real". After the Young Divas disbanded in 2008 and Williams' contract with Sony BMG ended, she began releasing her solo music independently. Williams' debut solo single "Spellbound" was released in 2010, followed by the release of her debut solo album Uncovered in 2012.

Signed to Columbia Nashville in 1993, Trevino began his career that year with the release of his debut single, "Just Enough Rope", the first mainstream country music single to feature separate English and Spanish-language versions. Trevino has charted a total of fourteen singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, and recorded seven studio albums. "Blessed" also appears in Fady Maalouf's debut album also entitled Blessed.

Myron is a Swiss pop-rock duo based singing in English language and made up of lead singer Emanuel "Manu" Gut and songwriter, guitarist and bass player Chris Haffner. The two met while working as studio musicians and they formed the band in 2003, in Basel, Switzerland. The band signed with Columbia Records of Sony BMG in 2007, and has released four albums and a number of singles that charted in Switzerland, with the single "One Step Closer" being their biggest hit. The duo's sound is primarily soft contemporary rock with a definite melodic twist, and soul and pop/country influences.
