Intu Mintu Londonma is a 2018 Nepalese romantic drama film, directed and written by Renasha Bantawa Rai. [2] The film was produced by Prabhu S.J.B. Rana and Prajjwal S.J.B. Rana under the banner of EyeCore Films. The film stars Samragyee R.L. Shah, debutant Dhiraj Magar and Saruk Tamrakar in the lead roles. [3] [4] [5]

The film received mixed response from critics who praised its cinematography, music and performance especially of debutant Dhiraj Magar. It was criticised for its routine story and screenplay. Audience response was positive. The film sold above average at the box office, and had the year's best opening. The film became one of the highest grossing Nepali films that year.

Synopsis

The film opens with a song "Londonma" where Ishan (Dhiraj Magar) is singing. Meera (Samragyee R.L. Shah) Is shown shopping with his friend Newson (Bibek Limbu). After shopping they go to meet Meera's friend Katherine (Jemima Toms). Katherine invites Meera to an engagement party and reveals she is engaged to Ishan. A flashback shows hw Meera and Ishan fell in love and then separated because Meera was moving. Ishan and Meera meet again and love blossoms. Meera's father sensed what was happening and takes Meera to Nepal and arranges her marriage to an Army officer - Aakash (Saruk Tamrakar). Aakash likes Meera, but Meera cannot forget Ishan. Ishan attends her engagement announcement. Ishan is angry with Meera because she refuses to elope. Aakash senses something wrong and tries to show Ishan he is right for Meera but fails.

On the wedding day Meera and Ishan elope, but again return because Meera again refuses. Akash starts to beat up Ishan, until Meera stops him. Aakash is shocked to see the for Ishan in Meera's eyes. Meera confesses her love for Ishan and Aakash helps them.

The film ends with a Song "I am Intu, She is Mintu".

Pareni Maya Jalaima, or Pare Ni Maya Jalaima or Undone by Love, is a 2004 movie filmed 80% in Hong Kong with the remaining footage shot in Nepal. It was nominated for the categories of best story, best screenplay, and best cinematography at the 2005 National Film Festival, winning the best screenplay award for writer-director Prithvi Rana Magar. It is the most expensive film ever made in the history of Nepalese cinema with a production cost of about 18 million rupees. It was shot on 35-millimeter film—a rarity for Nepalese movies—by Hong Kong cinematographer Gavin Liew. Because of a long and exhausting legal battle between the investors, the film's release was delayed for three years. By the time it hit theaters, the charm of the highly anticipated movie had vanished. "Melancholy" is an environmentally-themed song sung by 365 Nepali artists. This song was intended to promote an environmental message by breaking the Guinness World Records for "Most Vocal Solos in a Song Recording", which it successfully did. It was written, music composed and directed by environmentalist Nipesh Dhaka. The song was recorded as a single on 19 May 2016. The recording sessions were inaugurated by Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli at 8 am and continued until 6 pm. The song was released on 2 September 2017 by President Bidya Devi Bhandari at Army Officer's Club, Kathmandu.

The film also brings in new talent from the industry including the cast. The film trailer is receiving highly positive reviews for its story as it shows religious unity and speaks against radicalism.

Captain is a 2019 Nepalese sports drama film directed by Diwakar Bhattarai, written by Samipya Raj Timalsena, Diwakar Bhattarai, Sagar Kharel, Brajesh Khanal and produced by Bhuwan K.C. and Jiya K.C. under the banner of Super Kajal Films. It stars Anmol K.C., with Sunil Thapa, Saroj Khanal, Wilson Bikram Rai, Upasana Singh Thakuri, Priyanka Mv, and Prashant Tamrakar. The film, which follows a teenager who struggles to follow his father's footsteps in football, was filmed across Jhapa and Ilam. It was released in Nepal on 1 March 2019. It received largely unfavourable reviews from critics for its storyline, visual special effects, and lead performances, and a mixed response from audiences. It grossed below average at the box office and ended its run after its second weekend.
