The Kingdom of Nepal was a Hindu kingdom in South Asia, formed in 1768 by the expansion of the Gorkha Kingdom, which lasted until 2008 when the kingdom became the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. It was also known as the Gorkha Empire, or sometimes Asal Hindustan. Founded by King Prithvi Narayan Shah, a Gorkha monarch who claimed to be of Thakuri origin from chaubisi, it existed for 240 years until the abolition of the Nepalese monarchy in 2008. During this period, Nepal was formally under the rule of the Shah dynasty, which exercised varying degrees of power during the kingdom's existence.
The Magars, also spelled Mangar and Mongar, are Tibeto-Burman ethnic group native to Nepal and Northeast India, representing 6.9% of Nepal's total population according to the 2021 Nepal census. They are one of the main Gurkha tribes.

Former Village Development Committee: Udayapur, Bhawaniyapur, Piprahawa, Jaispur, Paraspur, Indrapur, Khaskarkado, Bashudevpur, Manikapur and Puraina were added to territory in order to make it Sub metropolitan city on 2071 Paush 28 and later Puraini was also added in list on 2072 Paush 21. Further, while restructuring of local levels nationwide, ward no. 23 was taken out to Janaki Rural Municipality and ward no. 7 of Hirminiya VDC was added to Nepalgunj.

Pareni Maya Jalaima, or Pare Ni Maya Jalaima or Undone by Love, is a 2004 movie filmed 80% in Hong Kong with the remaining footage shot in Nepal. It was nominated for the categories of best story, best screenplay, and best cinematography at the 2005 National Film Festival, winning the best screenplay award for writer-director Prithvi Rana Magar. It is the most expensive film ever made in the history of Nepalese cinema with a production cost of about 18 million rupees. It was shot on 35-millimeter film—a rarity for Nepalese movies—by Hong Kong cinematographer Gavin Liew. Because of a long and exhausting legal battle between the investors, the film's release was delayed for three years. By the time it hit theaters, the charm of the highly anticipated movie had vanished. Although people who watched the movie liked and appreciated it, it was not successful at the box office because of poor marketing and excessive use of the English language, which Nepalese audiences are not accustomed to. The movie only made around 30% of its investment. It grossed around 12 lakhs in Nepal and 10 lakhs internationally against its budget of 1 crore 80 lakhs.

A Mero Hajur 2 is a 2017 Nepali musical romantic movie directed by Jharana Thapa The second part of A Mero Hajur series, the film stars Samragyee RL Shah and debutant Salin Man Baniya in lead roles. The movie received mixed to negative response from critics with praise for its music but performances of the actors, direction, routine story and screenplay met with negative response from audience and critics. But the film had a huge opening weekend at the box office and owing to that it became a huge success at the box office. The success of the movie was credited for the massive popularity of its predecessor starring Shree Krishna Shrestha and Jharana Thapa and music of the film. The film had further two sequels.

The film stars Deepak Raj Giri, Kedar Ghimire, Buddhi Tamang Priyanka Karki, Swastima Khadka, debutant Swaroop Purush Dhakal and Barsha Raut in the lead roles.

This song was intended to promote an environmental message by breaking the Guinness World Records for "Most Vocal Solos in a Song Recording", which it successfully did. It was written, music composed and directed by environmentalist Nipesh Dhaka. The song was recorded as a single on 19 May 2016. The recording sessions were inaugurated by Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli at 8 am and continued until 6 pm. The song was released on 2 September 2017 by President Bidya Devi Bhandari at Army Officer's Club, Kathmandu.

The film also brings in new talent from the industry including the cast. The film trailer is receiving highly positive reviews for its story as it shows religious unity and speaks against radicalism.

It stars Anmol K.C., with Sunil Thapa, Saroj Khanal, Wilson Bikram Rai, Upasana Singh Thakuri, Priyanka Mv, and Prashant Tamrakar. The film, which follows a teenager who struggles to follow his father's footsteps in football, was filmed across Jhapa and Ilam. It was released in Nepal on 1 March 2019. It received largely unfavourable reviews from critics for its storyline, visual special effects, and lead performances, and a mixed response from audiences. It grossed below average at the box office and ended its run after its second weekend.
