Inventions is an American musical ensemble signed to Temporary Residence Records, consisting of Matthew Cooper of Eluvium and Mark T. Smith of Explosions in the Sky. [1]
Inventions formed in 2013 as a side project for both musicians, whose main projects were signed to the same record label. In April 2014, the pair released an album which reached No. 22 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. [2]
Explosions in the Sky is an American post-rock band from Texas. The quartet originally played under the name Breaker Morant, then changed to the current name in 1999. The band has garnered popularity beyond the post-rock scene for their elaborately developed guitar work, narratively styled instrumentals—what they refer to as "cathartic mini-symphonies"—and their enthusiastic and emotional live shows. They primarily play with three electric guitars and a drum kit, although band member Michael James will at times exchange his electric guitar for a bass guitar. The band has later added a fifth member to their live performances. The band's music is almost purely instrumental.
Jesu are a British experimental metal band formed in 2003 by Justin Broadrick following the breakup of his band Godflesh. It shares its name with the last song on Hymns, the final album of Godflesh's initial run. Jesu's sound is heavily layered and textured, incorporating a diverse mix of influences. Broadrick himself has stated that "...it's very loosely speaking pop/rock/metal/electronica ... I'm intentionally writing what I consider to be coherent 'pop' songs".

Initially only 300 copies were issued in the form of CD-Rs. Due to many requests from fans, the album was remastered from the original tapes, given new artwork, and reissued on CD by Temporary Residence Limited on October 11, 2005.

Cooper, who was born in Tennessee and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, before relocating to the Northwest, is known for blending various genres of experimental music including electronic, minimalism and drone. His albums often feature artwork and photographs by Jeannie Paske.
Maserati is a band formed in 2000 in Athens, Georgia. Originally conceived as exclusively instrumental, the band's sound later shifted towards psychedelic rock, synth rock, and even moments of techno. Their sound is often characterized by soaring guitar hooks and a driving rhythm section interlaced with synthesizers and electronic elements. Travels in Constants is a limited edition collection of 25 EPs issued by American record label Temporary Residence Limited. The label issued one CD from each artist involved in the project, which ran from 1999 until 2015. A large number of the artists involved have been signed to Temporary Residence for releases outside of the series whilst some haven't had any other releases on the label, and some artists on Temporary Residence have not released anything for the series.
Jefre Cantu-Ledesma is a multi-instrumentalist, member of several bands, and co-founder of the Root Strata record label based out of San Francisco, California. Cantu-Ledesma got his start in the band Tarentel. He was one of the founding members and is still a primary figure in the band's line-up. Cantu-Ledesma continues to be involved with many musical projects.
Leaves Eclipse the Light is an EP from Portland, OR ambient musician Matthew Cooper, under the name Eluvium, following the release of the "artistically daring and critically acclaimed" album Similes. The album features the first track from the aforementioned album, a new 11-minute unreleased ambient track à la Talk Amongst the Trees, the remix of "The Motion Makes Me Last" by electronic/dance musician Four Tet which was featured on the BBC Radio 1 2-hour-long Four Tet Essential Mix and finally the video of "The Motion Makes Me Last" directed by artist and filmmaker Matt McCormick.

Temporary Residence Limited is a Brooklyn, New York-based record label. TRL was started in Louisville, Kentucky in 1996 by Jeremy DeVine, and initially concentrated on releasing music by Louisville-based bands. DeVine moved to Baltimore, Maryland in the late 1990s to attend the Maryland Institute College of Art, but dropped out to concentrate on running the label by the end of the decade. DeVine later moved operations to Brooklyn, New York.
Nightmare Ending is the seventh studio album from Portland, Oregon ambient musician Matthew Robert Cooper, under the name Eluvium. It is a double-album and was released on May 14, 2013. The album’s final track, “Happiness”, features vocals by Ira Kaplan of the band Yo La Tengo. A special digital edition, featuring a print by artist Jeannie Paske, was released on May 1, 2013, limited to 300 copies.
