Ion Basoc (born 27 December 1997) is a Moldovan judoka. [1] He competed at the 2024 Summer Paralympics and won a silver medal in the +90 kg event. [2] [3]
Oleg Crețul is a Moldovan judoka. He competed in the men's half-middleweight event at the 1996 Summer Olympics.
Paralympic judo has been contested at the Summer Paralympic Games since 1988. The sport is restricted to visually impaired competitors. Men's and women's events are held in various weight classes, just like judo at the Summer Olympics. More than 130 visually impaired judokas, including some from the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Spain and Sweden, competed in the Rio 2016 games, making it the biggest yet staged.
The Asian Para Games, also known as Para Asiad, is a multi-sport event regulated by the Asian Paralympic Committee that's held every four years after every Asian Games for athletes with physical disabilities. Both events had adopted the strategy used by the Olympic and Paralympic Games of having both games in the same city. However, the exclusion of Asian Para Games from Asian Games host city contract meant that both events ran independently of each other. The Games are recognized by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and are described as the second largest multi-sport event after the Paralympic Games.
Parliamentary elections were held in the Moldavian SSR in February and March 1990 to elect the 380 members of the Supreme Soviet. They were the first and only free elections to the Supreme Soviet of the MSSR, and although the Communist Party of Moldova was the only registered party allowed to contest the election, opposition candidates were allowed to run as independents. Together with affiliated groups, the Popular Front of Moldova won a landslide victory. Candidates who were openly supporters of the Popular Front won about 27% of seats; together with moderate Communists, mainly from rural districts, they commanded a majority.

Uzbekistan made its Paralympic Games début at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens, with a single representative in powerlifting. Competing in the men's up to 75 kg category, Kadyrov failed to lift a weight. Marta Arce Payno is a B3 classified Spanish judo competitor who has represented Spain at the 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2024 Summer Paralympics where she has won a pair of silver medals and a pair of bronze medals.

There were 13 events, corresponding to seven weight classes for men and six for women, and a total of 132 athletes will compete. At the Paralympics, judo is contested by visually impaired athletes.
Mexico participated at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7 to 18 September 2016. The country sent a 71-member delegation to the Games.

Denis Vieru is a Moldovan judoka who competes in the men's half-lightweight (66 kg) category. He competed in the men's 66 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, without winning a medal, but he won a bronze medal in the same event at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.
Priscilla Gagné is a partially blind Canadian judoka. She won a silver medal at the 2020 Summer Paralympics.
Daniel Borges Cargnin is a Brazilian judoka. He won the bronze medal at the 2020 Olympic Games and the 2022 World Championships, in addition to being three-time Pan American Judo champion.
Moldova sent a delegation to participate at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan, from 24 August to 5 September 2021. This was the Eastern European's country Seventh appearance in the Summer Paralympic Games since their debut twenty four years prior at the 1996 Summer Paralympics. Moldova sent six athletes to these Games, shot put thrower Oxana Spataur and Vladimir Butucea, powerlifter Larisa Marinenkova and Denis Raiul, Judo Player Oleg Creţul and Ion Basoc.
Indonesia competed at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris, France, from 28 August to 8 September. During 2024 Summer Paralympics, Indonesia participated with the most number paralympians ever since Indonesia started to participate back in 1976. It was also the first time Indonesian judokas and boccia paralympians participated in the games.
Para Judo at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris, France will take place between 5 and 7 September. There will be eight events for both men and women according to their weight categories and, for the first time, their disability class.
Kapil Parmar is an Indian para-judo player. He clinched the bronze medal at the 2024 Paralympics and made history by winning India's first Paralympic medal in judo. Parmar has also won the gold at the 2019 Commonwealth Championships, the gold at the 2023 Grand Prix, the bronze at the 2023 World Games and the silver at the 2022 Asian Para Games.
