Para Judo at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris, France took place between 5 and 7 September. There were eight events each for both men and women according to their weight categories and, for the first time, their disability class. Several weight events had been dropped from Tokyo 2020 to accommodate the class separation, designed to make the event fairer and more inclusive. [1]

The International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) is a non-profit organisation founded 1981 in Paris, France. It was formerly known as the International Blind Sports Association. IBSA's mission is to promote the full integration of blind and partially-sighted people in society through sport and to encourage people with a visual impairment to take up and practise sports. IBSA is a full and founding member of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).
B1 is a medical-based Paralympic classification for blind sport. Athletes in this classification are totally or almost totally blind. It is used by a number of blind sports including blind tennis, para-alpine skiing, para-Nordic skiing, blind cricket, blind golf, five-a-side football, goalball and judo. Some other sports, including adaptive rowing, athletics and swimming, have equivalents to this class.
Nazan Akın Güneş is a Turkish visually impaired judoka competing in the +70 kg division. She won the silver medal at the 2012 Paralympics and the bronze medal at the 2024 Paralympics.
Para judo is an adaptation of the Japanese martial art of judo for visually impaired competitors. The rules of the sport are only slightly different from regular judo competitions. It has been part of the Summer Paralympics program since 1988 for men and 2004 for women.
The Para Judo competition of the 2016 Summer Paralympics was held in Hall 3 at the Carioca Arena inside the Olympic Training Center in Barra cluster between 8 and 10 September. There were 13 events, corresponding to seven weight classes for men and six for women, and a total of 132 athletes will compete. At the Paralympics, judo is contested by visually impaired athletes.
China has qualified to send athletes to the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7 September to 18 September 2016. Sports China competed in include blind football, archery, boccia, cycling, goalball, judo, paracanoeing, sitting volleyball and wheelchair basketball.

Ecem Çavdar Taşın is a Turkish female visually impaired judoka competing in the −48 kg division. She won the bronze medal at the 2016 and 2024 Summer Paralympics.
Para Judo at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo took place at the Nippon Budokan from 27 to 29 August 2021. There were 138 qualified slots in 13 events: 7 male events and 6 female events.

Indonesia competed at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris, France, from 28 August to 8 September. During 2024 Summer Paralympics, Indonesia participated with the most number paralympians ever since Indonesia started to participate back in 1976. It was also the first time Indonesian judokas and boccia paralympians participated in the games.
South Korea competed at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris, France, from 28 August to 8 September.
Judo competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris took place from 27 July to 3 August at Grand Palais Éphémère in Champ de Mars. The number of judokas competing across fourteen weight categories at these Games has been reduced from 393 in Tokyo 2020 to 372, with an equal distribution between men and women.
