The Ironwood Carnegie Library is a library located at 235 E. Aurora Street in Ironwood, Michigan. It is the oldest continuously operated Carnegie Library in Michigan [2] and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011. [1]
The public library in Ironwood was founded in 1892, [3] and was located in the Ironwood City Hall. [4] In 1900, Andrew Carnegie pledged $12,000 to the city of Ironwood to build a new library, [2] [5] subject to his usual conditions that the town provide a building site and pledge to maintain the building. [6] Carnegie increased his gift by $5000 in 1901. [5] The building was constructed in 1901 by Archie Donald and Daniel Egan of Ashland, Wisconsin for $17,000. [7] It was the first Carnegie Library built in Michigan. [8] The library was moved into the new building in 1901 [4] and the new library was dedicated in January 1902. [9]
Only minor modifications have been made to the building, [2] which still contains the original chairs, tables, and circulation desk. [8]

Ironwood is a city in Gogebic County in the Upper Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan, about 18 miles (29 km) south of Lake Superior. The city is on US Highway 2 across the Montreal River from Hurley, Wisconsin. It is the westernmost city in Michigan, situated on the same line of longitude as Clinton, Iowa and St. Louis, Missouri. The population was 5,045 at the 2020 census, down from 5,387 at the 2010 census. The city is bordered by Ironwood Township to the north, but the two are administered automously.

The Carnegie Art Museum is a public art museum owned by the City of Oxnard, California in the building originally occupied by the Oxnard Public Library. The Neo-Classical building, located adjacent to Oxnard's Plaza Park, opened in 1907 as the Oxnard Public Library and was converted into an art museum in 1986. In July 1971, it became the first building in Ventura County and the first Carnegie library in California to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Oregon Civic Justice Center is a three-story former library building on the campus of Willamette University in downtown Salem, Oregon, United States. Built in 1912 as a Carnegie library for the city of Salem, the building now houses several programs of Willamette University College of Law. Prior to the law school's moving into the facility in 2008, the building was used by the adjacent Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) from 1971 to 2006.

The Greenville Carnegie Library is a historic library on the edge of downtown Greenville, Ohio, United States. A Carnegie library built for the community in the early 20th century, the library and an adjacent school building have been designated a historic site because of their landmark architecture.
The Civic in Manchester Street, Christchurch Central City, was one of the former civic buildings of Christchurch City Council (CCC). Built in 1900, it was first used as an exhibition hall, a cinema and then a theatre. It burned down in 1917. The northern part of the building was purchased by CCC and opened as the civic office in 1924, and served this purpose until 1980. After that it had several uses, including a restaurant, bar and live music venue. The building was heavily damaged in the February 2011 Christchurch earthquake, and was demolished.

The Ironwood City Hall was a government building located at the corner of McLeod Avenue and Norfolk Street in Ironwood, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1975, and demolished in 1989.

The Escanaba Public Library was a Carnegie library located at 201 South Seventh Street in Escanaba, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977 and designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1976.
The historic Duluth Public Library is a former Carnegie library building at 101 West Second Street in Duluth, Minnesota, United States. It was constructed in 1902 as the first purpose-built facility of the Duluth Public Library. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 for its local significance in the themes of architecture and education. It was nominated for its Neoclassical architecture and association with early community education efforts.

The Easton Area Public Library serves the community of Easton in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. The present Carnegie library was predated by a community library constructed by the Easton Library Company in 1811. With a grant in 1901 for $57,000 by industrialist Andrew Carnegie a new library began construction at 515 Church Street and was completed in 1903. The library system consists of the Easton library serving as the headquarters, and the Palmer Branch located at 1 Weller Place, Palmer Township which was constructed in 1986.
