Isabel Posch (born 28 February 2000) is an Austrian multi-event athlete. She has won national indoor titles in the long jump and the pentathlon. [1]
From Vorarlberg, [2] she is member of TS Lustenau in Lustenau. [3]
She became national indoor champion in the pentathlon in Linz in 2023 setting a new Austrian national record points tally, beating the previous record set by Chiara Schuler in 2022. [4] [5] At the same Austrian championships she won the national indoor title in the long jump with a distance of 6.14 metres. [6]
She went past 6000 points in the heptathlon for the first time at the Hypomeeting in Gotzis in May 2023, with her efforts including a 6.43m personal best in the long jump. [7] In June, she was part of the Austrian women’s 4 x 100 metres team which set a new national record at the 2023 European Athletics Team Championships. [8]
In August 2023, she won the heptathlon at the delayed 2021 Summer World University Games. Separately, she also reached the final of the women's long jump at the championships. [9] [10]
She retained her national indoors long jump title with a distance of 6.19 meters in Linz in February 2024. [11] She also placed second in the 60 metres final at the championships behind Magdalena Lindner. [12]
She was selected for the 2024 European Athletics Championships in Rome. [13]
