Ishitta Arun is an Indian actress, writer, model, VJ and producer. [1] [2] She is best known for her roles in series like Scoop (2023), Rana Naidu (2023), Good Bad Girl (2022) and the musical The Merchants of Bollywood (2006-2007). [3]

Career

Ishitta made her acting debut in the year 2000 with the film Snegithiye . [4] In 2003, she acted in the film Kahan Ho Tum. [5] Other than this, she has acted in noted projects like Scoop, Rana Naidu and Good Bad Girl. [6] [7]

She is also known for her contributions in theatre. She acted in multiple theatre plays like The Merchants of Bollywood, Goonj, Mumbai Talkies and Mareechika. [8] [9] [10] [11]

In 2009, she participated as a contestant in the show Dancing Queen which aired on Colors TV. [12] In 2010 she participated as a contestant and titled as second runner up in the NDTV imagine's show Dil Jeetegi Desi Girl.[ citation needed ] She contributed as a writer and producer in the play Gaa Re Maa. [13] [14] She wrote the lyrics of Dhaakad film's title track, So Ja Re and Coke Studio's Ae Rab by Master Saleem and Dhruv Ghanekar, I am Alive by Atif Aslam and Maher Zain. [15] [16] [17]

Snegithiye is a 2000 Indian Tamil-language mystery thriller film directed by Priyadarshan. The film notably features only female characters, played by Tabu, Jyothika, Sharbani Mukherjee and Ishitta Arun. Music was composed by Vidyasagar. The film, released in 2000, proved to be an average grosser at the box office but bagged positive reviews from critics. Originally planned to be made as a multilingual, in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi, the film was released first in Tamil, while the Malayalam version, Raakilipattu, as well as the Hindi dubbed version of the Malayalam version, Friendship were released seven years later. The film's story is loosely based on the 1999 Marathi film Bindhaast.
