Isiaah Crawford is an American academic administrator and psychologist working as the 14th president of University of Puget Sound. [1]

Education

Crawford earned his bachelor's degree from Saint Louis University and master's and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from DePaul University. [2]

Career

Crawford completed his pre-doctoral clinical psychology internship at the San Francisco VA Medical Center, and worked as a specialist at Charter Barclay Hospital and DePaul University Community Mental Health Center. He operated his own private clinical practice from 1987 to 2008. [1]

Crawford previously served as provost and chief academic officer of Seattle University from 2008 to 2016 and dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Loyola University Chicago from 2004 to 2008. [3] [4]

In 2016, Crawford was announced as the 14th president of the University of Puget Sound. [5]

Personal life

Crawford is openly gay and lives in Tacoma, WA with his spouse, Kent Korneisel, O.D. [6]

Barry S. Anton, Ph.D., ABPP is an American psychologist. He is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of Puget Sound where he taught for 34 years. Anton founded Rainier Behavioral Health, a multi-discipline mental health practice where he practices clinical child and adolescent psychology and neuropsychology. Anton has co-authored, along with Professor Janet Matthews, a clinical psychology textbook, published over 90 articles, and has presented numerous conference workshops, invited addresses, keynote addresses, and panel discussions nationally and internationally. Anton served as the president of the American Psychological Association (APA) in 2015.

Jeffrey T. Parsons is an American psychologist, researcher, and educator; he was a Distinguished Professor of Psychology at Hunter College and The Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY) and was the Director of Hunter College's Center for HIV/AIDS Educational Studies & Training, which he founded in 1996. Parsons was trained as a developmental psychologist and applied this training to understand health, with a particular emphasis on HIV prevention and treatment. He was known for his research on HIV risk behaviors of gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM), HIV-related syndemics, and sexual compulsivity. He resigned his positions at CUNY on July 3, 2019, following a year-long university investigation of misconduct allegations against him. In 2023, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced that he was required to pay a $375,000 settlement for engaging in fraud against the federal government for many years.

Tanya Erzen is an associate professor of Religion and Gender Queer Studies at the University of Puget Sound. She is also an author who has written four books as well as articles about religion, sexuality, gender and American conservatism. Her book Straight to Jesus: Sexual and Christian Conversions in the Ex-Gay Movement received the Ruth Benedict Prize from the American Anthropological Association and the Gustave O Arlt Award from American Anthropological Association.

Kainoa Thomas Correa is an American professional baseball Major League field coordinator for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball (MLB). He is the former bench coach/interim manager and infield/baserunning instructor for the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played college baseball for the University of Puget Sound. He served as the interim manager for the Giants' final three games of the 2023 season, after the dismissal of manager Gabe Kapler.
