Islamic University College is a private university established in 2004 in Najaf, Iraq. The university was established in 2004 by Sadiruldeen Al-Gubanchi. The university currently enrolls approximately 7000 students. [1] The college is recognized by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

History

The University Islamic College obtained official recognition and a foundation license from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, according to its book No. And private colleges No. (13) for the year 1996. The college was also granted a foundation license from the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in the name of (The Islamic University College in Najaf) in its letter No. 331906 on 5/11/2009 approved by Cabinet Resolution No. 381 of 2009.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Muhammad bin Fadlallah al-Sarawi</span> Iranian-Iraqi faqih, writer and poet

Sayyid Muhammad bin Fadlallah al-Sarawi, honorifically titled as Thiqat al-Islam, also known as Muhammad Thiqat al-Islam was an Iranian-Iraqi Ja'fari jurist, writer and poet. He has been renowned at the end of the Qajar era, i.e. the early twentieth century, as a bilingual poet in Persian and Arabic. He was born in Pahneh Kola, a village of Sari to a Tabari Musawi family. He first started his religious educations with his father then moved to Ottoman Iraq and studied from ulema of Najaf and Samarra, such as Mirza Shirazi. His efforts to promote da'wah in Iran failed. As a Twelver Shia mujtahid, he settled in Najaf from 1901 until his death, left behind two poetry collections and many books on fiqh, most of them are manuscript.

Ibrahim Hamed Hussein al-Astal was a Palestinian educational theorist and researcher. He worked as a dean and professor at Islamic University of Gaza, Faculty of Education. He was the Editor-in-chief of IUG Journal of Educational and Psychological Studies.

The Al-Hamra Mosque also known as the Yunus Ibn Matta Mosque is a Twelver Shi'ite place of worship located in Kufa, Najaf Governorate, Iraq. It is one of the oldest places of worship in Kufa. The complex also contains a shrine dedicated to the biblical Jonah.
