Santana Lopez (born February 3, 2003), known professionally as Islurwhenitalk, is an American rapper, record producer and musician. He is the co-founder of the online rap collective Jewelxxet. Lopez is known for pioneering several Internet microgenres, such as sigilkore, vampjerk and jugg.

Lopez was born on February 3, 2003, in South Carolina, United States.[ citation needed ]

Career

Lopez co-founded the online rap collective Jewelxxet alongside Luci4, [1] 2shanez and Sellasouls in 2019. He is credited along with Luci4 with pioneering a mixing style they dubbed "sigilkore", [2] [1] [3] which later became its own distinct Internet music microgenre. [4] [1] Writing for Pitchfork , music critic Kieran Press-Reynolds noted him as a "sigilkore deity". [1] [5] [6]

Impact

Lopez has been noted as an influential figure in the SoundCloud rap and underground scene, [7] he is credited with pioneering the Internet microgenres sigilkore, vampjerk, and jugg. [1] [5] [8]
