Suraj Singh Thakuri is a television presenter, actor, director and producer. He was a Chief Executive Producer in Kantipur Television Network. He is best known as the host of the longest running Nepali television talk show Call Kantipur which airs daily on Kantipur Television. After 10 years of running Call Kantipur, he handed the show over to younger talents like Suraj Giri, Akesha Bista and Riju Shrestha. He has directed several music videos, also appearing in some.

Himalaya Roadies is an adventure-based Nepalese reality show. It is franchise of the MTV Roadies series. The series is broadcast by the Nepalese network Himalaya TV and airs every week for an hour. The participants receive difficult tasks to complete to become a roadie. Only people of 18 and over are allowed to participate in the show. Season 4, with the theme of Season of Survival, followed the former format of MTV Roadies. Well known TV host and personality Suraj Singh Thakuri replaced Raymon Das Shrestha as the host of the show in season 5. The fifth season is titled "Power of five". In previous seasons there were four gang leaders, namely Anoop Bikram Shahi, Saman Shrestha, Deeya Maskey and Ashish Rana, a.k.a. Laure. However, from the fifth season, actress Priyanka Karki will replace Saman Shrestha as gang leader, whereas other leaders will remain intact in their respective positions. The show was previously directed by Aman Pratap Adhikari but director and producer Simosh Sunwar has directed it from the fourth season onwards. Season 6 with theme "Welcome To The Jungle" is underway to physical audition and Raymon Das Sherestha is back on position of host to replace Suraj Singh Thakuri.

"Melancholy" is an environmentally-themed song sung by 365 Nepali artists. This song was intended to promote an environmental message by breaking the Guinness World Records for "Most Vocal Solos in a Song Recording", which it successfully did. It was written, music composed and directed by environmentalist Nipesh Dhaka. The song was recorded as a single on 19 May 2016. The recording sessions were inaugurated by Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Oli at 8 am and continued until 6 pm. The song was released on 2 September 2017 by President Bidya Devi Bhandari at Army Officer's Club, Kathmandu.
Jatrai Jatra is a 2019 Nepalese comedy thriller film, directed by Pradip Bhattarai and written by Rhythm Paudel. Rhythm Paudel has played a huge role developing this film. The film is produced by Pawan Shrestha, Rhythm Paudel, Nigin Pun and Sudin Bikram Thapa under the banner of Shatkon Arts. The film stars Bipin Karki, Dayahang Rai, Rabindra Singh Baniya, Rabindra Jha, Madhu Paudel and Barsha Raut in the lead roles. The film is the sequel and follow up of 2016 Heist comedy Jatra released on 2016. The film deals aftermath life of Fanindra, Munna and Joyes after they get released from jail on bail and also the consequences after they find bag of gold. In 2024, a sequel to this film, Mahajatra, was released.
Shatru Gate is a 2018 Nepalese drama comedy film, directed by Pradip Bhattarai and written by Deepak Raj Giri, Pradeep Bhattari and Hari Bansha Acharya. The film is produced by Deepak Raj Giri, Deepa Shree Niraula, Narendra Kansakar and Shivahari Poudel under the banner of MaHa Sanchar. The film stars ensemble cast of Madan Krishna Shrestha, Hari Bansha Acharya, Deepak Raj Giri, Deepa Shree Niraula, Priyanka Karki, Paul Shah, Aanchal Sharma. The film was released on 23 March 2018 with mixed response from critics but positive response from audience. The film became an "All Time Blockbuster" at the box office with gross of over रु 12 Crore making it the fourth-highest-grossing Nepali film at 2018.
Suntali is a 2014 Nepali black-comedy film, directed by Bhaskar Dhungana. The film is produced by Bhaskar Dhungana, Jaya Shah, and Prachanda Shrestha under the banner of Blue Poppy Films. It stars Priyanka Karki, Karma Shakya, Sushma Karki, Bipin Karki, and Pramod Agrahari. The film follows Suntali's relationship with Sundar.
Prem Geet 3 is a 2022 Nepali language film, also dubbed & released in Hindi over Nepal & India, directed by Chhetan Gurung and Santosh Sen under the banner of Aasusen Films Production (Nepal), Reltic Pictures (India) and Sparkling Studio (India). It is the first Indo-Nepali film; the first film to be released in both Nepali and Hindi simultaneously. It was expected to be released in 80 to 90 countries and in 500 to 1,000 cinema halls in India. Sen made his directorial debut through this film. The film was released on September 23, 2022. The majority of the filming took place in upper Manang with the remaining taking place on sets built in Kritipur. The film features Pradeep Khadka, Kristina Gurung, Shiva Shrestha, and Sunil Thapa in lead role. Gurung made her debut through this film; she was selected after outperforming the other 27,013 participants at the audition.
Twelve teams participated in the 2023 KP Oli Cup, the Twenty20 cricket tournament in Nepal, where seven of them were Provincial teams, three departmental teams and two organizer teams.
