The Streets is an English musical project led by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Mike Skinner. The project was founded in the early 90s, while Skinner was still a teenager; however, no music would formally eventuate until the early 2000s. In the initial run of The Streets, the project released five studio albums: Original Pirate Material (2002), A Grand Don't Come for Free (2004), The Hardest Way to Make an Easy Living (2006), Everything Is Borrowed (2008) and Computers and Blues (2011). The Streets also released a string of successful singles during this time, which reached the Top 40 on the UK Singles chart – including "Has It Come to This?", "Fit but You Know It", "Dry Your Eyes", "When You Wasn't Famous" and "Prangin' Out". After disbanding The Streets in 2011, Skinner pursued several other musical projects before ultimately reviving the moniker in 2017. A mixtape, None of Us Are Getting Out of This Life Alive, was released in 2020. The Streets' sixth studio album, The Darker the Shadow the Brighter the Light, was released in September 2023.
Havana 3am was a British-American rock supergroup formed in 1986 by singer/guitarist Nigel Dixon, guitarist Gary Myrick, and bassist Paul Simonon. The band also included Travis Williams, a drummer whom they later found by a newspaper announcement. The band's name was taken from the title of a 1956 album by Pérez Prado. Havana 3am's music incorporated elements of rockabilly, Latin and reggae influences.
The Fall on Deaf Ears was a musical group from El Paso, Texas, most notable for featuring Cedric Bixler-Zavala of At the Drive-In and The Mars Volta, who played drums, and Clint Newsom of Rhythm of Black Lines and The Hades Kick on guitar. The Fall on Deaf Ears played in the post-hardcore style typical of bands such as The Nation of Ulysses and Circus Lupus. They played live shows with bands such as Propagandhi, Egon and Select Your Fighter. The act only recorded a handful of songs before bassist Laura Beard and guitarist Sarah Reiser were killed in a car wreck in 1997. They were both 17 years old.

"The Batista police never looked kindly on Rock and Roll, and much less after the screening of films like Rebel Without a Cause and The Bad Seed, among others. Meet Me Halfway, at Least is the debut album from English rock band Deaf Havana. It was produced by Matt O'Grady and was released on 5 October 2009, through Wolf At Your Door Records. It was their second release via Wolf At Your Door following the EP It's Called the Easy Life. Music videos for the songs, "Friends Like These" and "Nicotine and Alcohol Saved My Life", gained them regular airtime on UK music channels Kerrang!, Scuzz and Lava. Following the release of the album, they toured UK and Europe, leading them to playing many popular UK festivals towards the second half of 2010 and a sellout tour of the UK in November 2010, which they co-headlined with American band There for Tomorrow.
Fools and Worthless Liars is the second album from English band Deaf Havana and the first since the departure of founding member Ryan Mellor. The album marks a departure from the band's earlier post-hardcore style of music in favour of a song orientated power pop approach heavily influenced by bands such as Jimmy Eat World as well as the modern British wave of pop punk, largely due to the band's decision not to replace Mellor, who was a screamer. Critics were generally very supportive of this development.
Life on a Rock is the fifteenth studio album by American country music artist Kenny Chesney. It was released on April 30, 2013 via Blue Chair and Columbia Records. Chesney co-wrote eight of the album's ten tracks and co-produced the album with Buddy Cannon. It was recorded in Los Angeles, Hawaii, Jamaica, Key West, London, and Nashville. The album includes the singles "Pirate Flag" and "When I See This Bar". This was Chesney's first album since 2008's Lucky Old Sun to not have a Top 40 hit on the pop chart. This was also his first album since 1996's Me and You to not produce a single number one hit on the country charts.

It was released on 16 September 2013 and marked another shift in direction from previous album Fools and Worthless Liars as they head to a more chorus-driven classic rock style of music. With singles "Boston Square" and "Mildred " receiving international support from BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe's Hottest Record in the World along with interviews on the show with frontman James and newcomer Matthew Veck-Gilodi, as well as touring with artists such as Bruce Springsteen and Muse, the band have raised the profile of the album and seen a significant rise in their publicity and popularity since their last album release. They toured the album starting October 2013, where they were supported by ex-Busted singer-songwriter Charlie Simpson and Big Sixes. The album was released in the US on 21 January 2014.
