Itawamba Community College, formerly known as Itawamba Junior College, is a community college in the northeast of the US state of Mississippi It has three campuses, in Fulton, Belden, and Tupelo, Mississippi.
Comoros sent a delegation to compete at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia from 15 September to 1 October 2000. This was the Indian Ocean nation's second appearance at a Summer Olympic Games, following their debut four years earlier at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. The delegation consisted of two track and field athletes: Hadhari Djaffar and Sandjema Batouli. Both raced in the 100 meters events, but neither advanced beyond the first round.
The Wake Forest Demon Deacons men's basketball team represents Wake Forest University in NCAA Division I college basketball and competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Wake Forest made the Final Four in 1962 and through the years, the program has produced many NBA players. The Demon Deacons have won the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament four times, in 1961, 1962, 1995, and 1996. The current coach is Steve Forbes, who was hired on April 30, 2020.
Ross Emery Detwiler is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was drafted by the Washington Nationals in the first round of the 2007 MLB draft and made his MLB debut late that season.
