Riverdale is a residential neighborhood in the northwestern portion of the New York City borough of the Bronx. Riverdale, which had a population of 47,850 as of the 2000 United States Census, contains the city's northernmost point at the College of Mount Saint Vincent. Riverdale's boundaries are disputed, but it is commonly agreed to be bordered by Yonkers to the north, Van Cortlandt Park and Broadway to the east, the Kingsbridge neighborhood to the southeast, either the Harlem River or the Spuyten Duyvil neighborhood to the south, and the Hudson River to the west. Riverdale Avenue is the primary north–south thoroughfare through Riverdale.

Fieldston is a privately owned affluent neighborhood in the Riverdale section of the northwestern part of the New York City borough of the Bronx. Greens Farms Academy (GFA) is a PreK-12 independent preparatory co-educational day school in the Greens Farms section of Westport, Connecticut, drawing 715 students from numerous towns across Fairfield County. Greens Farms Academy is located on a 42-acre campus overlooking the Long Island Sound, a salt marsh and an Audubon woodland. John F. Kennedy High School was a four-year comprehensive New York City public high school, opened in 1972 and graduating its final class in 2014. The building and associated facilities currently operates as John F. Kennedy Educational Campus, housing five public high schools and two charter high schools. Ian McGinnis is an American former basketball player for Dartmouth College's men's basketball team. He is best known for leading NCAA Division I in rebounding during his sophomore season in 1998–99. He averaged 12.2 rebounds per game and was the first Dartmouth player to average a double-digit number of rebounds in 38 years. To date, McGinnis is the only Dartmouth player to have ever led the nation in this statistical category.
The Catholic Central League (CCL) is a high school athletic conference in district H of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association. Most league members are schools with Catholic affiliations. The league is based mostly in the eastern part of Massachusetts.
