Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium, originally simply Riverfront Stadium, is a 6,200-seat baseball park in Newark, New Jersey, United States, that is home to the baseball teams of two of Newark's universities: the Rutgers-Newark Scarlet Raiders, who play in the New Jersey Athletic Conference as part of NCAA Division III, and the NJIT Highlanders, who play in the Atlantic Sun Conference as part of NCAA Division I.

Wagner College Stadium is a 3,500-seat multi-purpose stadium located on the campus of Wagner College in Staten Island, New York. Opened in 1967, the stadium is used for football, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, and track & field. Hameline Field has 400 premium seat back chairs located at midfield. Below the stadium is a field house featuring several locker rooms, a training room, an equipment room, and public facilities. Surrounding the field is a six-lane synthetic track, allowing the college to play host to many major track & field events. The stadium was renovated as part of a $13 million addition to the campus facilities in 1998. In 2006, the stadium's natural grass field was replaced with state-of-the-art FieldTurf, a synthetic grass playing surface.

Jersey Express was an American soccer team based in Springfield, New Jersey. Founded in 2007, the team played in the Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the Mid Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference. Prior to the 2011 season the team was known as Newark Ironbound Express. The team's colors were white, Emerald and Gold.
Owen T. Carroll Field is a multi-purpose stadium in South Orange, New Jersey on the campus of Seton Hall University. It is the home field of the Seton Hall Pirates baseball and men's and women's soccer teams. The stadium holds 1,800 spectators. It is named for Owen T. Carroll, former coach of the Seton Hall baseball team The facility underwent a $6.5 million renovation in 2006 that included a new Field Turf surface and light stanchions. In June 2010, the Field Turf surface was upgraded once again, and in 2013, a new scoreboard was added. In 2019, Seton Hall Baseball will be playing all of their games away from South Orange, including nine Big East "home" games in New York City while the facility undergoes major renovations.

The team plays its home games at Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium in Newark, New Jersey. The Highlanders are coached by Brian Guiliana.
The Golden Dome Athletic Center in Newark, New Jersey is the hub of Rutgers–Newark athletics and teams, the Scarlet Raiders. It is located a 42 Warren Street between Downtown and University Heights. Built in 1977, it seats 2,000. The facility includes two gyms, five outdoor tennis courts, four racquetball courts, an exercise/dance studio and a 25-yard, eight-lane pool.
Sports in Newark, New Jersey, the second largest city in New York metropolitan area, are part of the regional professional sports and media markets. The city has hosted many teams and events, though much of its history is without an MLB, NBA, NHL, or NFL team in the city proper. Two venues in the northeastern New Jersey metro region, Prudential Center and Riverfront Stadium, are in Downtown Newark. Red Bull Arena is just across the Passaic River in Harrison. The Meadowlands Sports Complex is less than 10 miles away from Downtown and reached with the Meadowlands Rail Line via Newark Penn Station or Broad Street Station.

The 2017–18 NJIT Highlanders men's basketball team represented the New Jersey Institute of Technology during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Highlanders, led by second-year head coach Brian Kennedy, played their home games at the Wellness and Events Center in Newark, New Jersey as members of the Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN). They finished the season 14–16, 7–7 in ASUN play to finish in a tie for fourth place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the ASUN Tournament to North Florida.
The 2017–18 NJIT Highlanders women's basketball team represents New Jersey Institute of Technology during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Highlanders, led by sixth year head coach Steve Lanpher, play their home games at the Wellness and Events Center. They were third year members of the Atlantic Sun Conference. They finished the season 4–26, 2–12 in A-Sun play to finish in last place. They lost in the quarterfinals of A-Sun Tournament to Florida Gulf Coast.
