JBC Basketball is a Zimbabwean basketball team based in Harare. The team plays in the Harare Basketball Association (HBA) and has won a record of six BUZ National Championship titles. JBC plays in the Road to BAL in the 2023 tournament, becoming the second team from Zimbabwe to do so. [1] In the first round, JBC won two out of three games to become the first Zimbabwean team to advance to the elite 16. [2]

Contents

The club is owned by Addison Chiware, who is also JBC's president and head coach, as well as the president of the country's federation Basketball Union of Zimbabwe (BUZ). [3]

The JBC is also known for winning multiple awards and have gone international in 2022.

The qualification for the 2024 BAL season, also known as Road to BAL 2024, was the 4th edition of the qualifying tournaments for the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The tournaments were organised by FIBA Africa and are held from 3 October to 26 November 2023. The format was the same as to the previous seasons, with the competition divided in the group phase and the elite 16.

Basket Hounds is a Zimbabwean basketball team based in Harare. The team plays in both the Harare Basketball Association (HBA), Midlands Basketball Association (MBA), and the national BUZ National Championship. They have won one national championship.

The qualification for the 2025 BAL season, also known as "Road to BAL 2025", were the qualifying tournaments for the 5th season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The tournaments were organised by FIBA Africa and began on 8 October and finished on 4 December 2024.
