J Ramachandran is a professor of corporate strategy at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. He teaches corporate strategy and policymaking. He was named as one of the nine best business school professors in India by Business Today in 2006.[ citation needed ] He is the first Bain fellow in India. [2]

Ramachandran is a certified chartered accountant and cost accountant. He is an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and Associate Member (AICWA) of Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) and Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). He is a fellow of IIM Ahmedabad. [3]

He joined IIMB in 1992. He is currently a senior professor of corporate strategy. He is the Harry Reynolds Visiting International Professor, Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania and a Visiting Fellow at INSEAD, France and Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota.

Corporate positions

He is currently Chairman of Board of Directors at Redington India and Aditya Auto Products and Engineering. He also serves in the boards of Reliance Communications, Sasken Communication Technologies, MVA Group International, All Cargo Logistics, Antrix Corporation and Tejas Networks. He is a member of the editorial Board of Journal of Entrepreneurship and Governance Council of Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad.

Cases and papers

He has authored more than 100 papers and cases which have been published in journals across the world including Harvard Business Review.

VG was inducted into the Thinkers 50 Hall of Fame in 2019 for his life-long work dedicated to the field of management, strategy, and innovation. Shekhar Chaudhuri is an Indian academic and management professor. He is a former director of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.

Prof. Trilochan Sastry was formerly the Dean (Academics) at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He is also a political activist, chairman of the Association for Democratic Reforms, and a frontline leader of the Right to Information campaign.

He is currently a professor at IIM Ahmedabad in the area of operations management and quantitative techniques. He started the five-year Integrated Management Programme at IIM Indore and increased the batch size of the flagship PGP programme from 240 to 450.

N. Ravi or Neelakantan Ravi is an Indian diplomat. He was an officer of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) from 1971 to 2009, and has served in various diplomatic and administrative positions in the Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Finance under the Government of India. In 2009, he was appointed as an ambassador of Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

M. V. Rajeev Gowda is an Indian politician and academician. He is a former member of parliament in the Rajya Sabha and a national spokesperson for the Indian National Congress. Mrityunjay Athreya is an Indian author, educationist and management advisor, widely regarded as one of the founders and pioneers of Indian Management movement and education. A former professor at the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, the London Business School and the Strathclyde Business School, Scotland, and a known speaker at various international forums, he is the founder of Sampradaan Indian Centre for Philanthropy, a non-profit non governmental organization, serving as a platform for charity initiatives by high-net-worth individuals. Arcot Ramachandran (1923-2018) was an Indian scientist, anthropologist, author and a former Under-Secretary General of United Nations Centre for Human Settlements, known for his scholarship on the subjects of heat and mass transfer and environment and his social commitment to the cause of sustainable development. The Government of India honoured him in 2003, with the Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian award, for his services to the fields of Science and Engineering.

Shailendra Raj Mehta is an Indian economist who is specialized in Microeconomics theory, institution design, industrial organization, Information economics, Experimental economics, strategic management and Entrepreneurship. He was chairman of the Board of Management at Auro University. In 2017, he became the President and Director of MICA (institute), Ahmedabad.

N. Srinivasa Iyer Ramaswamy (1926–2012), popularly known as Cartman Ramaswamy, was an Indian engineer, educationist, management academic and writer, and the founder director of the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He was the founder of Centre for Action, Research and Technology for Man, Animal and Nature (CARTMAN), a non governmental organization working for region-relevant and appropriate technology transfer to rural areas and Indian Heritage Academy, an organization involved in propagating Indian cultural traditions. He was also the founder chairman of the Adarsh Vidya Kendra (AVK) Group of educational institutions. The Government of India awarded him the third highest civilian honour of the Padma Bhushan, in 2006, for his contributions to society.

Srikant Datar is an Indian-American economist and the Dean of Harvard Business School. At Harvard, he concurrently serves as the Arthur Lowes Dickinson Professor of Business Administration. In 2021, he was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award in India.
