Jaak Kilmi (born 23 October 1973 in Tallinn) is an Estonian film director, screenwriter and producer. [1]
In 1998 he graduated from Tallinn Pedagogical University's film school. Since 2001, Kilmi has been teaching documentary studies to scenography students at the Estonian Academy of Arts. [1]

Set in the summer of 1986, hundreds of teenagers have gathered in the woods for Estonian student summer camp—three days full of adventures, falling in love and partying. But, when the teens are forced to comply with rules of proper behavior, camp in a totalitarian system is not all it is cracked up to be. The political metaphor of the counselors’ control leads to an uprising of the students. The main character is 16-year-old Tanel, who initially is as focused on losing his virginity and getting drunk as overthrowing the system. But taking part in the revolt, he discovers himself.
René Reinumägi is an Estonian film director, scriptwriter and actor. With Jaak Kilmi he shares nomination for Grand Prix Asturias at the Gijón International Film Festival, nomination for Golden St. George and the winning of Special Jury Prize at the 26th Moscow International Film Festival in 2004.

The Adventures of Juku The Dog (1931) is the first Estonian experimental animated short film, written and directed by Voldemar Päts, produced by Aleksaner Teppor and animation by cartoonist Elmar Jaanimägi. For the film about 5000 drawings were made. Out of the total of 180 meters of shot film stock about 100m have survived. The soundtrack for the silent film was provided by Records of the Tormolen Co. Parlophon. In total 2 films in the series were attempted, the second one called The Adventures of Juku on Earth and Water was not completed and has not survived.

Disco and Atomic War is a 2009 Estonian documentary film written by Jaak Kilmi. In the film, Kilmi talks about illegally watching Finnish television in Communist Estonia as a boy. He describes, amongst others, how his father made special converters for Soviet television sets to watch Finnish TV, his mother made TV guides for Finnish television that he would then sell at school, and popularity of Dallas and Knight Rider in 1980s Estonia.
Electoral district no. 8 is one of the 12 multi-member electoral districts of the Riigikogu, the national legislature of Estonia. The district was established as electoral district no. 7 in 1995 following the re-organisation of electoral districts. It was renamed electoral district no. 8 in 2003 following another re-organisation of electoral districts. It is conterminous with the counties of Järva and Viljandi. The district currently elects seven of the 101 members of the Riigikogu using the open party-list proportional representation electoral system. At the 2019 parliamentary election it had 61,657 registered electors.
