Jack Andrew Dreyer (born February 27,1999) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Dreyer attended Johnston High School in Johnston,Iowa,and the University of Iowa,where he played college baseball for the Iowa Hawkeyes. In 2018,he played collegiate summer baseball with the Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod Baseball League. [1]
Dreyer was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Los Angeles Dodgers in August 2021. [2] He played for the Arizona Complex League Dodgers in 2022 and the Great Lakes Loons in 2023. [3] He started 2024 with the Tulsa Drillers and was promoted to the Triple–A Oklahoma City Dodgers,pitching in 46 games with a 2.20 ERA. [3]
On November 19,2024,the Dodgers added Dreyer to their 40-man roster to protect him from the Rule 5 draft. [2] He made his MLB debut on March 19,2025,during the Tokyo Series against the Chicago Cubs,allowing one run on two hits in one inning of work while striking out one batter (Michael Busch). [4]
He is the son of former MLB pitcher Steve Dreyer. [2]
