Zander Tyler (born February 22, 1982), better known under his stage name Jack Parow, [1] is a South African rapper who has collaborated with other South African artists such as Die Heuwels Fantasties, Die Antwoord,and Francois Van Coke. [2]
Parow wanted to be a rapper since he was in primary school. He used to rap with friend Keagan Cloete aka cutie cloete, citing Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle as an initial inspiration as well as the likes of T-Pain. Although he started rapping in English, he soon decided that he preferred Afrikaans. [3]
His first hit came with the single Cooler as Ekke and jeffalingaling, which was promoted by friends in Die Heuwels Fantasties. [4] He collaborated with them on their song Die Vraagstuk. He has since released four studio albums and toured around the world. [5]
In 2015, Parow released a biography, Die Ou Met die Snor by die Bar, [6] authored by local artist Theunis Engelbrecht. [7]
In 2016, Parow and his friend Hardus van Deventer shot a nine episode TV series titled Dis Hoe Ons Rol, which aired from July to August 2016 on the Kyknet premium TV channel. [8] Filming took place as two legs over 30 days, during which Parow performed in each of South Africa's nine provinces at least once. [9]
In January 2017, Parow launched his own brandy product known as Parow Brandy. [10]
He is currently managed by Fokofpolisiekar and Van Coke Kartel member, Wynand Myburgh. [11]
Parow has a daughter, Ruby Tyler, born in 2012. [12] Ruby was the inspiration for Parow's 2014 song "Dis Befok", [13] and video footage for the 2016 remix of the song was shot by her via a chest-mounted camera. [14]
Jack Parow's first release was the Cooler as ekke EP in December 2009. It was released as a limited edition of 600 ice-creamcone-shaped USB flash drives and featured 10 songs and six music videos.

Francois Badenhorst, better known by his stage name Francois Van Coke, is a South African singer-songwriter, rose to fame as the front man of South African rock bands Fokofpolisiekar and Van Coke Kartel. On the 8 April 2015, Francois launched his self-titled debut solo album and kicked his solo career into gear with the release of – Toe Vind Ek Jou featuring Karen Zoid. It was the first Afrikaans album and single to simultaneously jump to number one positions on the South African iTunes Store. The song was downloaded more than 20,000 times on iTunes, achieving Platinum status as a single. The music video for "Toe Vind Ek Jou" was viewed over a million times within six-month and was announced as the biggest Afrikaans music video of 2015. His second album, Hierdie is die Lewe followed in 2017 and in 2018 he released a collab-EP, Francois van Coke en Vriende featuring collaborations with Die Heuwels Fantasties, Early B, Laudo Liebenberg and Jack Parow. The first season of his TV show, Die Van Coke Show, aired in 2018. His third solo album, Dagdrome in Suburbia, released in October 2019. He has a daughter named Alex, age 6–7 and an infant boy.
