Jackson Van Tonder Chauke (born 29 May 1985) is a South African professional boxer who has held the WBC International flyweight title since 2019. As an amateur he won silver medals at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and 2007 All-Africa Games, both in the flyweight division. He won the International Boxing Organization World Championship Title in his last fight on January 27, 2024 in London, United Kingdom. [2]

Career

At Melbourne 2006 he lost the final to Don Broadhurst.

At the AllAfricans he was defeated by local Abderahim Mechenouai.

At the world championships 2007 he lost his first match to Mexican Braulio Ávila and didn't medal.

At the second Olympic qualifier he lost his semi to Cassius Chiyanika but beat Michael Anu for the third qualifying spot.

In Beijing he lost to Anvar Yunusov of Tajikistan, 1:9.

Following this fight Grigsby tested positive for illegal drugs and the title was declared vacant. Following this fight the title was won by Masibulele Makepula but was stripped again. He won the vacant title on April 14, 2001, in a fight against Andy Tabanas. Dieppa defended the title successfully five times before losing it to Hugo Cázares on April 30, 2005.

Pongsaklek Wonjongkam is a former Thai professional boxer and current boxing trainer. He is a two-time former lineal flyweight champion. Damaen Kelly is a British former professional boxer from Belfast, Northern Ireland, who competed from 1997 to 2006. Quaise Khademi, born better known as Kaisy Khademi, is an Afghanistan-born British professional boxer who challenged for the British super-flyweight title in 2021. He appeared a tough fight with his South-African rival, Jackson Chauke for the International Boxing Organization World flyweight championship title in late January 2024, did not succeed, but performed very well.
