Running career

At the 2013 IAAF World Cross Country Championships – Junior men's race he finished 41st. [1]

He was crowned World School Cross Country Champion in 2012 in Malta. Throughout 2009-2012 he won 11 Australian junior athletics champion titles in 1500m, 3000m and 2000m steeple. 2013 he transitioned to Triathlon but still managed to win the much coveted Zatopec u/20 3000m title. 2015 he was runner up in the Australian senior 10k Road Running Championships as a 20yr old.

2015 season

He won the Under-23 World Championship. [3]

2016 season

Birtwhistle finished fourth at the Yokohama event second at the Hamburg event of the 2016 ITU World Triathlon Series. [4] [5]

2017 season

Birtwhistle finished second at the Hamburg [6] and Edmonton [7] events of the 2017 ITU World Triathlon Series.

2018 season

Birtwhistle came second in a home Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast, Australia. [8] He was also a member of the gold winning Australian mixed relay team. [9] In the 2018 ITU World Triathlon Series he took silver in Yokohama [10] and bronze in Edmonton [11] and Montréal. [12] He completed the year with 7th at the 2018 ITU World Triathlon Grand Final, also on the Gold Coast. That saw him finish third overall in the 2018 ITU World Triathlon Series. [13]

2019 season

2019 saw Birtwhistle take his first gold at an ITU Triathlon World Series race, winning in Leeds [14] (standard distance) and subsequently taking first place in Hamburg [15] later that season (sprint distance).

Non Rhiannydd Stanford is a British former professional triathlete, representing Great Britain and Wales at international level. Stanford was the ITU World Champion in 2013, part of the Great Britain world champion mixed relay team in 2012 and represented Team GB at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, where she finished fourth behind teammate and housemate Vicky Holland. Hindered thereafter by recurrent injuries, she struggled to repeat the dominant form of her early years. In her final year of competition, 2022, however she found an exceptional final flourish of form; she anchored Wales to silver in the team event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, her first Commonwealth medal and her first major championship medal since 2015 World Triathlon mixed relay bronze. One week later, in her final major Olympic distance triathlon race, Stanford won her first and only European championship.

The Dextro Energy Triathlon – ITU World Championship Series 2011 was a series of six World Championship Triathlon events leading to a Grand Final held in Beijing, China in September 2011. The Series was organised under the auspices of the world governing body of triathlon, the International Triathlon Union (ITU), and was sponsored by Dextro Energy.

Zaferes won both the 2018 and 2019 Super League Triathlon Championship Series. She finished in 3rd position in the series in 2021.

He is the 2021 Ironman World Champion at the first World Championship held at Saint George, Utah on May 7, 2022. On 5 June 2022, Blummenfelt became the first person to complete an Ironman-distance triathlon in under seven hours during the Pho3nix Sub-7 Sub-8 event at the Lausitzring race track in Germany. Summer Rappaport is an American professional triathlete. At the 2020 Summer Olympics she competed in the women's triathlon race, placing 14th. During the 2019 ITU World Triathlon Series Rappaport took fifth in the final rankings.

The 2018 ITU World Triathlon Series was the 10th season of the World Triathlon Series, the top-level international series for triathlon, since its establishment in 2009. The season consisted of nine pairs of triathlon races for both a men's and women's competition, as well as three mixed relays, beginning on 2 March in Abu Dhabi, and concluding on 16 September with the grand final at the Gold Coast.

He finished second in the 2021 Super League Triathlon Championship Series, having taken the win at the SLT London race. Wilde won the 2022 Super League Triathlon Championship Series, having been victorious in 3 of the 5 series races.
