Jacob Eiler Bang (19 December 1899 in Frederiksberg - 16 March 1965 in Kongens Lyngby) was a Danish glass designer. Bang originally studied architecture but soon changed to glass design. He joined Holmegaard Glass Factory in 1928 at a time when the company was in serious financial trouble. [1] His functionalist glass designs [2] received significant acclaim at international exhibitions. [1]

B of the Bang was a sculpture by Thomas Heatherwick next to the City of Manchester Stadium in Manchester, England, United Kingdom, which was commissioned to mark the 2002 Commonwealth Games; it was one of the tallest structures in Manchester and the tallest sculpture in the UK until the completion of Aspire in 2008. It was taller and leaned at a greater angle than the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The sculpture took its name from a quotation of British sprinter Linford Christie, in which he said that he started his races not merely at the "bang" of the starting pistol, but at "the B of the Bang".

Herbert and Katherine Jacobs First House, commonly referred to as Jacobs I, is a single family home located at 441 Toepfer Avenue in Madison, Wisconsin, United States. Designed by noted American architect Frank Lloyd Wright, it was constructed in 1937 and is considered by most to be the first Usonian home. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2003. The house and seven other properties by Wright were inscribed on the World Heritage List under the title "The 20th-Century Architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright" in July 2019.

Herbert and Katherine Jacobs Second House is a historic house located at 3995 Shawn Trail in Madison, Wisconsin, United States. Built in 1946-48, the house was the second of two designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for journalist Herbert Jacobs and his wife Katherine. The house's design is unique among Wright's works; he called the style the "Solar Hemicycle" due to its semicircular layout and use of natural materials to conserve solar energy. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 and declared a National Historic Landmark in 2003.

Jacob Jensen

Jacob Jensen, was a Danish industrial designer best known for his work with Bang & Olufsen. Jensen designed numerous popular high-end consumer products, developing a functional minimalism style that formed a prominent part of the Danish modern movement. In 1958 he founded the Jacob Jensen Design Studio. Jensen designed for other brands including Alcatel, Kirk, Boform, General Electric, International Gift Corporation, JO-JO, Labofa, Rodenstock, Rosti, and Stentofon. His works have been featured at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City, and have received numerous design awards.

As of December 2020, it is the second tallest residential skyscraper in Taichung, the 8th tallest building in Taichung and 28th tallest in Taiwan. The height of the building is 163.8 m (537 ft), with a floor area of 68,501 m2 (737,340 sq ft), and it comprises 41 floors above ground, as well as six basement levels.

The Fubon Sky Tree is a residential skyscraper in West District, Taichung, Taiwan. Construction of the building began in 2013 and it was completed in 2016. The height of the building is 155.3 m (510 ft), and it comprises 39 floors above ground, as well as four basement levels. The building was designed by the Japanese architect Toyo Ito.
