Jacob Yoro (born December 8, 1979) [1] is an American football coach who is currently the safeties coach at the University of Missouri.
After his playing career ended due to injury, Yoro began coaching at the high school level in Hawaii. He spent 2002 as the linebackers coach at Mililani High School before joining the coaching staff at his alma mater Saint Louis School in 2003 as their linebackers coach. [2] He also spent time coaching at Waipahu High School in 2008 while working at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard.
Upon the completion of his degree in 2008, Yoro went to work in the college ranks, joining the coaching staff at Montana Western as their linebackers coach. While at Montana Western, he lived in the basement of the defensive coordinator's house, sleeping on an air mattress. [3]
Yoro was hired to be the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Pacific University in Oregon in 2010. He later added the title of recruiting coordinator in 2011 and assistant head coach in 2014. Yoro departed Pacific in 2015 to take an assistant coaching position at Cal Poly as their defensive backs coach. [4]
Yoro was hired in 2017 by Hawaii to be their safeties coach. [5] He was reassigned to coaching outside linebackers and nickelbacks in 2018 following the hire of Corey Batoon. He was retained by newly hired head coach Todd Graham in 2020, the first member of his inaugural staff and was promoted to co-defensive coordinator and reassigned to linebackers coach. [6] [7]
Yoro was hired in early 2024 by Missouri to serve as a defensive analyst. On July 28, 2024, head coach Eliah Drinkwitz announced Yoro was promoted to safeties coach. [8]
A native of Mililani, Hawaii, Yoro attended Saint Louis School in Honolulu, where he was an all-state linebacker. Yoro and his wife Meredith have one daughter. [9] [10]
Jeffery Wade Ulbrich is an American football coach and former linebacker who is the defensive coordinator for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Hawaii and was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round in the 2000 NFL draft and played for the 49ers from 2000 to 2009.
The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors football team represents the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa in NCAA Division I FBS college football. It was part of the Western Athletic Conference until July 2012, when the team joined the Mountain West Conference. From 2000 until 2013, the team was known simply as the Warriors. The Rainbow Warriors were the third team from a nonautomatic qualifier conference to play in a BCS bowl game. They played the Georgia Bulldogs in the 2008 Sugar Bowl and lost 41–10.
Mark John Banker is an American football coach. Banker last coached safeties at Washington State University from 2021-2022. He was previously the assistant head coach and inside linebackers coach at the University of Hawaii. Previously, he served the defensive coordinator of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Oregon State Beavers and the San Diego Chargers.
Michael Todd Graham is an American football coach and former player. He was most recently the head football coach at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (2020–2021). Graham has served as the head football coach at Rice University (2006), the University of Tulsa (2007–2010), the University of Pittsburgh (2011), and Arizona State University (2012–2017).
Kurt Keola Gouveia is an American football coach and former linebacker who played 13 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) and one season in the XFL. During his career, he played for the Washington Redskins, the Philadelphia Eagles (1995), and the San Diego Chargers (1996–1998). In 2001, he also played for the Las Vegas Outlaws in the now-defunct XFL.
Jeff Reinebold is an American gridiron football coach who is currently serving as the defensive tackles coach for the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors football team. Reinebold has also coached for the Las Vegas Posse, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, BC Lions, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and Montreal Alouettes. In addition to the CFL, he has coached in the NCAA, NFL Europe and The Spring League. He has also served in an executive for University of Hawaii—Mānoa. Reinebold has appeared as football analyst on Sky Sports NFL telecasts in the United Kingdom.
Robert C. Wagner was an American college football coach. He was the head football coach at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa from 1988 to 1995, leading the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors to their first top 20 finish in 1992.
Brian Stewart is an American football coach who is the defensive coordinator for Middle Tennessee. He was previously the defensive backs coach at Baylor University and defensive coordinator at Rice University for the 2017 season.
Richard Emmet Ellerson is a former American football coach. He was the head football coach at Southern Utah University in 1996, at California Polytechnic State University from 2001 to 2008, and the United States Military Academy from 2009 to 2013. While at Cal Poly, Ellerson's teams won three conference championships and compiled a 56–34 record, giving him the third highest winning percentage of any football coach in school history.

He was the defensive ends coach at Hawaii in 2021. Prior to that, he was the head football coach at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California from 2006 to 2019.

Spencer previously served as the defensive coordinator and safeties coach at the University of South Florida. He played college football at Georgia Tech.
Blake Baker is an American college football coach. He is the defensive coordinator for Louisiana State University, a position he has held since 2024. He was previously the defensive coordinator at Miami (FL), Louisiana Tech, and Missouri, as well as previously being the linebackers coach at LSU.

David Blackwell is an American football coach who is currently the senior defensive analyst at the University of Missouri, a position he has held since 2023. He was previously the defensive coordinator at Old Dominion University and East Carolina University, serving as the interim head coach for the latter in 2018 after the termination of Scottie Montgomery and the defensive coordinator at Louisiana Tech University from 2020 to 2021.

Trent Figg is an American college football coach. He is the inaugural head coach for the Calvin University football team and was previously the associate head coach of the defense and defensive backs coach for the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Figg played college football at William Jewell College in Missouri, where he also spent the first 5 years of his coaching career upon graduation. While primarily a defensive coach, he has spent multiple stints on the offensive side of the ball. Besides Hawai'i and William Jewell, Figg has also coached at Missouri State, Arizona State, and Southern Arkansas.
