Jacory Barney Jr. is an American football wide receiver for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Barney grew up in Florida City, Florida and attended Palmetto High School, where he played multiple positions on offense for the football team. [1] As a senior, he caught 15 passes for 135 yards and one touchdown, passed for 189 yards and three touchdowns, and rushed for 100 yards and one touchdown. [2]
Barney was rated a four-star recruit committed to play college football at Nebraska over offers from Miami and Texas A&M. [3]
Barney joined the Nebraska Cornhuskers as an early enrollee in January 2024. [4] He entered his freshman season as the team's primary kickoff returner. [5] Barney was named to the Jet Award watchlist prior to the start of the season. [6] He scored his first career touchdown on a ten yard rush in Nebraska's 34-3 win over Northern Iowa during Week Three. [7]
Ahman Rashad Green is an American former football running back who played 12 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, earning second-team All-American honors in 1997. Green was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round of the 1998 NFL draft, playing there for two seasons before being traded to the Green Bay Packers, with whom he played for eight of the next ten seasons. Green also played for the Houston Texans, and was a four-time Pro Bowl selection with the Packers, where he holds the franchise record for rushing yards. He was the head esports coach at Lakeland University until the end of 2022.
Eric Eugene Crouch is an American former college football player who was a quarterback for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He won the Heisman Trophy, Walter Camp Award, and Davey O'Brien Award in 2001. Running Nebraska's option offense that year, he completed 105 of 189 passes for 1,510 yards and seven touchdowns, while also rushing for 1,115 yards and 18 touchdowns. He had brief stints playing professionally in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and United Football League (UFL).
Tommie James Frazier Jr. is an American former college football player who was a quarterback for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He earned consensus All-American honors in 1995.
Palmetto High School, a high school located in Palmetto, Florida was originally opened in 1957 and rebuilt in 1999. The school's athletic teams are known as the Tigers, and the school colors are red, white, and black. The school currently serves students in grades 9 through 12.

The 2009 Miami Hurricanes football team represented the University of Miami during the 2009 NCAA Division I FBS football season. It was the Hurricanes' 84th season of football and 6th as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Hurricanes were led by third-year head coach Randy Shannon and played their home games at Land Shark Stadium. They finished the season 9–4 overall and 5–3 in the ACC to finish in third place in the Coastal Division. They were invited to the Champs Sports Bowl where they lost to Wisconsin, 20–14.

The team was coached by third-year head coach Mike Riley and played their home games at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska. They competed as members of the West Division of the Big Ten Conference. They finished the season 4–8, 3–6 in Big Ten play to finish in fifth place in the West Division.

Ameer Abdullah is an American professional football running back for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the Detroit Lions in the second round of the 2015 NFL draft. He played college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. In 2013, Abdullah rushed for 1,690 yards, fourth most for a single season in University of Nebraska history.
