Air India Flight 101 was a scheduled Air India passenger flight from Mumbai to London, via Delhi, Beirut, and Geneva. On the morning of 24 January 1966 at 8:02 CET, on approach to Geneva, the Boeing 707-437 operating the flight accidentally flew and crashed into Mont Blanc in France, killing all 117 people on board. Among the victims was Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha, the founder and chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission of India.

Line 1 (Blue Line) of the Mumbai Metro is a rapid transit metro line in the city of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The 11.40 km (7.08 mi) line is fully elevated and consists of 12 stations from Versova to Ghatkopar. The line connects the eastern and western suburbs of Mumbai. It was built at an estimated cost of ₹4,321 crore (US$520 million) and is operated by the Metro One Operation Pvt Ltd (MOOPL) on a 5-year contract. This special purpose vehicle, namely, Mumbai Metro One Private Limited (Mumbai Metro 1) was incorporated for the implementation of the project. Reliance Infrastructure holds 69% of the equity share capital of MMOPL, 26% is with Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).and the remaining 5% stake with Veolia Transport
Jeejabai Bhosle Marg, the official name of the Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road (GMLR) or the Mankhurd-Ghatkopar Link Road (MGLR), is a road in eastern Mumbai connecting the suburbs of Mankhurd and Ghatkopar. It connects to the Mumbai-Pune Expressway via the Sion Panvel Highway. The road is 4 km long and 200 feet wide. Construction on its main carriageway started in 2005 and it was opened in 2007.

On 28 June 2018, at about 1:15 pm, a Beechcraft C90 King Air aircraft chartered from UY Aviation Pvt Ltd with the registration VT-UPZ crashed at Jagruti Nagar in the suburb of Ghatkopar in Mumbai, India. The 12-seater aircraft carried 4 people, including the pilot. All people on board plus one person on the ground were killed. A further three people on the ground were seriously injured.
