The Rashtriya Janata Dal is an Indian political party, mainly based in the state of Bihar. The party was founded in 1997 by Lalu Prasad Yadav.

R.L.P. Verma was a former member of Lok Sabha and a leader of Bhartiya Janata Party. He was elected to Lok Sabha from Kodarma in Jharkhand state in India for six terms. Verma represented Jamua Assembly constituency once, from where he was elected in legislative assembly elections in 1972, on the ticket of Bhartiya Jana Sangh. Verma has represented Kodarma Lok Sabha constituency for five terms, making him the longest serving Member of Parliament (MP) from this constituency. He was one of the two Member of Parliament of BJP during transformation of Jana Sangh into Bhartiya Janata Party. Verma played instrumental role in strengthening Bhartiya Jana Sangh and later Bhartiya Janata Party in Bihar-Jharkhand region.
Loknath Mahato was a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the state of Jharkhand, India, elected from constituency Barkagaon which is in the Hazaribagh district of the state. He was first elected in 1995. Since then he has been re-elected three times, representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), one of the main national parties of India. He was one of the contenders in the 12 December 2019 Jharkhand state assembly elections from Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP). In 2014, Mahto had left BJP to join All Jharkhand Students Union, when denied ticket to contest from Hazaribagh Lok Sabha constituency. He participated in 2014 Lok Sabha elections and finished at third position.
Sanjeev Singh is an Indian politician and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was an elected member of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly from the Jharia constituency in Dhanbad district. In the 2014 Jharkhand Assembly Elections. He is currently serving a sentence in prison.

Bagi Kumar Verma is an Indian politician from Bihar. He has been a member of Bihar Legislative Assembly for three terms, two times from Makhdumpur Assembly constituency and once from Kurtha Assembly constituency. A former minister in Government of Bihar under Lalu Prasad Yadav, Verma has been a member of both Rashtriya Janata Dal and Janata Dal (United) at different occasions. In 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, he defeated Satyadev Kushwaha, the two times MLA from Kurtha Assembly to enter in Bihar Assembly for his third term.
Ramdeo Mahto was an Indian politician, who served as Member of Bihar Legislative Assembly in undivided Bihar. Mahto was elected as a candidate of Bhartiya Jana Sangh to Bihar Legislative Assembly in 1969 Assembly elections from Patna East Assembly constituency. He was also elected for his second term in Bihar Legislative Assembly in 1977 Bihar Assembly elections, this time, as a candidate of Janata Party. Mahto was considered one of the pillars of Bhartiya Jana Sangh in 1960s and he went on to become a minister from Jana Sangh quota in Mahamaya Prasad Sinha's government in 1967.
Jagdish Prasad Kushwaha was an Ayurveda practitioner and politician from Jharkhand, India. He was a leader of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, considered as one of the early leaders of Sangh, who played significant role in establishing it in Kodarma Lok Sabha constituency and Giridih region in unified Bihar. Kushwaha was elected as Pramukh of Jamua Bloc in Jharkhand for multiple terms and assumed this position until his death in 1999. He was the elder brother of Rati Lal Prasad Verma, six term Member of Indian Parliament from Kodarma Lok Sabha constituency and father of Jharkhand Legislative Assembly member, Jai Prakash Verma.
Raja Ram Singh or Raja Ram Singh Kushwaha, is an Indian politician based in Bihar, who was elected to Bihar Legislative Assembly twice, from Obra Assembly constituency in Aurangabad district. He is a member of Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation. He was first elected in 1995 and retained this constituency in 2000 Bihar Legislative Assembly elections. He is also a politburo member of CPI(ML)L. In 2024 Indian general election, he defeated Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh with a margin of over one lakh votes to win Karakat Lok Sabha constituency. He stood first in the triangular electoral contest involving National Democratic Alliance candidate and Rashtriya Lok Morcha president, Upendra Kushwaha and Pawan Singh.
Baboolal Mewra is an Indian politician and Bharatiya Janata Party leader. He was elected as Member of the Legislative Assembly two-times from Vijaypur, Madhya Pradesh Assembly constituency. He also served as vice-president of Madhya Pradesh Rajya Van Vikas Nigam Limited and held Minister of State rank from 2010 to 2013 under the cabinet of Shivraj Singh Chauhan. He spent two years in prison under the Maintenance of Internal Security Act for protesting against imposition of the emergency in India.
