Established on 4 July 1999, the institution is regulated by the Bangladesh Army and approved by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Sylhet. It offers both Secondary School Certificate and Higher Secondary Certificate subjects including Science, Business Studies and Arts Department. The institute was awarded "Best Institution" on 18 January 2004 by the president of Bangladesh.[4] The college was also been seleted as the 3rd best educational institution (college) among the cantonment public schools and colleges run by the Bangladesh Army.[5]
The principal is usually a lieutenant colonel of the Bangladesh Army. The prolocutor of the governing body is the station commander of Jalalabad Cantonment and usually is of the rank of Brigadier General.

The institution is located on a campus of approximately 10.5 acres.[6] Its facilities include:
• An auditorium with a seating capacity of about 650[7]
• Three academic buildings and an administrative building
• A multi-purpose shed
• Nondon Academy, used for cultural activities
• Two Football grounds, a badminton court, and two basketball courts
• A canteen
• A lake running through the campus

The school section gives the opportunity of studying from class 1 to 10. Students of class 9 & 10 can study science, business studies and arts programmes. In classes 6–10, an English version is available as well as Bangla.[citation needed] The school has recently received "The best school in the district" award.[citation needed]

College
The college section offers classes at the Higher Secondary level (Class XI and XII). The Science Department consists of four sections, with an additional English Version section. The Commerce Department has two sections. The Arts Department also has two sections. This structure ensures a comprehensive academic framework, accommodating students across different streams and curriculam. Students in college have the option to join either Scouting or BNCC corps for extra-curricular activities.
