Jalen Jermayne White (born June 5) is an American football running back for the Georgia Southern Eagles.

High school career

White attended Daleville High School in Daleville, Alabama. [1] [2] As a senior, White rushed for 3,517 yards, setting the record for most rushing yards in a single season in Alabama high school football history, surpassing Jamarius Henderson's previous record of 3,483 yards in 2014. [3] A three-star recruit, White committed to play college football at Georgia Southern University over offers from South Alabama and Tennessee State. [4] [5]

College career

After playing sparingly as a freshman in 2020, White's playing time increased the following season. Against Arkansas State in 2021, he rushed for 154 yards and two touchdowns. [2] [6] He finished the season rushing for 383 yards and four touchdowns. [7] In his first year as Georgia Southern's premier running back in 2022, White recorded 914 yards rushing and ten total touchdowns. [8] As a result, he was named to the third team All-Sun Belt. [9] Entering the 2023 season, White was named to the preseason Maxwell Award watchlist. [10] In a game against UL Monroe in 2023, he rushed for a career-high 164 yards and two touchdowns, while being named the Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week. [11] In the 2024 season opener against Boise State, White rushed for three touchdowns in a 45–56 defeat. [12]

The 2009 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl was the ninth edition of the bowl. The game was played at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on Sunday, December 20, 2009. The game was televised live on ESPN. The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, the Sun Belt Conference runners-up, defeated the Southern Miss Golden Eagles, a team from Conference USA, by a score of 42–32. The kickoff took place at 7:30 p.m., Central Time.

The 2022 Camellia Bowl was a college football bowl game played on December 27, 2022, at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama. The ninth annual Camellia Bowl, the game featured the Georgia Southern Eagles from the Sun Belt Conference and the Buffalo Bulls from the Mid-American Conference. The game began at 11:02 a.m. CST and was aired on ESPN. It was one of the 2022–23 bowl games concluding the 2022 FBS football season. Buffalo defeated Georgia Southern, 23–21, to claim their third consecutive bowl victory.
