James A. Holstein is an American sociologist who is emeritus professor of sociology at Marquette University. [1] He was the editor-in-chief of Social Problems from 2002 to 2005. [2]

The Eagles finished the season 29–7, 17–3 in Big East play to win the regular season championship. They defeated St. John's, UConn, and Xavier to win the Big East tournament. As a result, they received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament as the No. 2 seed in the East region. They defeated Vermont in the First Round before losing to Michigan State in the Second Round of the tournament.
