James Young is an Irish hurler from County Laois.
He plays for the Clonaslee–St Manman's club and was a regular on the senior Laois county team, for whom he was regularly one of the highest scoring players in the country.
In 2006, James received a nomination for an All-Star award.
In 2007, he was nominated for the Vodafone GAA Hurling All Stars awards. [1]

Ger Spillane is a member of the Cork inter-county Gaelic football team and is one of the Vodafone GAA All Stars for the 2006 season. In 2007, he was part of the Cork side that reached the final of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship to be beaten by Kerry in the final. In 2008, he was again part of the Cork team that lost to Kerry after a replay in a semi final. Cork also lost to Kerry in the 2009 All-Ireland final but Ger finally won an All-Ireland Senior Football title in 2010 when Cork beat Co Down in the All-Ireland final. As a hurler, Spillane played a leading role in Ballygarvan winning the Cork Junior Hurling Championship title in 2004. He also played a leading role in Ballygarvan reaching the final of the 2010 Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship.
The All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship 2008 was the 122nd since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1887. The first matches of the season were played on 25 May 2008, and the championship ended on 7 September 2008. Kilkenny went into the 2008 championship as defending champions, having won their thirtieth All-Ireland title the previous year.

The championship began on 22 May 2010 and concluded on 5 September 2010.

The team competes in the three major annual inter-county competitions; the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, the Leinster Senior Football Championship and the National Football League.
