Jan Evans (November 22, 1937 – April 24, 2000) was an American politician.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Evans received her bachelor's degree from University of Northern Colorado and her master's degree from University of Nevada, Reno. She was a development officer and lived in Sparks, Nevada. Evans served in the Nevada Assembly from 1987 until her death in 2000 and was a Democrat. [1] [2]

Jan Bos is a Dutch former speedskater and sprint cyclist. In the late 1990s he was world champion in speed skating and he competed in the 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympics.

Nevada State University (NSU), formerly Nevada State College, is a public college in Henderson, Nevada. Jill Talbot Derby served from 1988 to 2006 as an elected Regent for the Nevada System of Higher Education, serving three terms as board chair. She ran as the Democratic candidate for the open seat of Nevada's 2nd congressional district in the 2006 election, losing but gaining national attention by making a normally heavily Republican district competitive. Following that, she served as the chairwoman of the Nevada Democratic Party from March, 2007 until February, 2008 overseeing Nevada's first ever early presidential caucus. She ran for Congress again in 2008, but lost.
Barbara Ann Ferrell, Mrs. Edmonson is an American former track and field athlete who competed mainly in the 100-metre dash. She was the U.S. national champion in that event in 1967 and 1969 and is a member of the U.S. National Track & Field Hall of Fame.

Ruth Modupe Lawanson is a former volleyball player and college volleyball coach. Born in Nigeria, she played volleyball for Fresno State and the United States national team, winning a bronze medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics.
Karen Brems Kurreck is a graduate of Urbana High School and the University of Illinois. As a racing cyclist, she is best known for winning the inaugural women's individual time trial at the 1994 UCI Road World Championships in Catania, Italy. Kurreck represented the United States at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia.
Liu Limin is a former swimmer from China who won the silver medal in the 100 m butterfly at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended college at the University of Nevada, Reno in the United States. She was inducted into the university's athletic hall of fame in 2010. Limin Liu won three NCAA individual championships during her career, winning the 200 m butterfly at the NCAA Championships in 1999 and the 100 m and 200 m fly in 2000. She holds school and Big West Conference records in the 100 m and 200 m fly. A three-time All-American, Liu was named the Big West Swimmer of the Year in 2000.
Dr. Eliza Cook was an American physician and female state-licensed medical doctor in the U.S. state of Nevada. She also worked as a pharmacist and wrote articles about health issues for magazines and medical journals.
Elissa F. Cadish is an American lawyer who has served as the chief justice of the Nevada Supreme Court since 2024 and as a justice of the court since 2019. She is a former nominee to be a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Nevada.
Anne Henrietta Martin was a suffragist, pacifist, and author from the state of Nevada. Her main achievement was taking charge of the state legislation that gave women of Nevada the right to vote. She was the first head of the department of history of the University of Nevada (1897–1901) and was active in the suffrage movement in England in 1909–1911, working with Emmeline Pankhurst. She was president of the Nevada equal franchise society in 1912, and the first national chairman of the National Woman's Party in 1916. She was the first woman to run for the United States Senate; She lost twice, in 1918 and 1920.

Rebecca N. Farmer Evans is a Georgia state representative from Atlanta, Georgia. A member of the Democratic Party, she defeated Democratic Party incumbent Howard Mosby, in November 2018. She now represents the 89th district, following changes to district numbers after redistricting.
