Jan Bulis is a former Czech professional hockey winger who last played as the Captain of Traktor Chelyabinsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He spent nine seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL), playing with the Washington Capitals, Montreal Canadiens, and Vancouver Canucks. The Capitals selected Bulis in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft.

Simon Després is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who is currently playing with EC VSV of the ICE Hockey League (ICEHL). He was drafted in the first round, 30th overall, in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins and has also played for the Anaheim Ducks. During a game in 2015, he suffered a severe concussion that complicated his career due to recurring symptoms, forcing him to miss nearly all Ducks games to follow; out of concern for his condition, the Ducks bought him out. He later signed with HC Slovan Bratislava of the Kontinental Hockey League, before attempting to return to the NHL via the Montreal Canadiens who assigned him to the Rocket, their AHL affiliate.

Růžička has played professionally for HC Sparta Praha, HC Znojemští Orli, HC Olomouc, HC Oceláři Třinec and Amur Khabarovsk. Růžička participated at the 2010 IIHF World Championship as a member of the Czech Republic men's national ice hockey team.

Ekblad was selected first overall in the 2011 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) entry draft, and he was selected first overall by the Florida Panthers in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft and made his NHL debut that year. In his first NHL season, Ekblad was selected for the 2015 NHL All-Star Game and earned the Calder Memorial Trophy as the league's best rookie in the 2014–15 season.

In November 2021, Brandt was named Captain of the Barrie Colts for the 2021–22 OHL season, becoming the 22nd captain in Colts history.
