Jan Wenzel Schmidt (born 8 October 1991) is a German politician for the AfD and since 2021 member of the Bundestag, the federal diet. [1] Schmidt is member of the right-wing extremist AfD state association Saxony-Anhalt.

Life and politics

Schmdit became member of AfD in 2014. One year later he was co-founder of the rightwing extremist youth organization Junge Alternative (young alternative for Germany) and became their first chairmen. In 2016 he was elected to the Landtag of Saxony Anhalt. [2] He became member of the Bundestag in 2021. [3]
