Jan Gerbrand Wyers (born January 2,1939),is a retired American politician who was a member of the Oregon State Senate. [1] [2] He also worked as an attorney. [3] He later served as a judge in the Multnomah County Circuit Court, [4] until retiring in 2006. [5]

Theodore Ralph Kulongoski is an American politician,judge,and lawyer who served as the 36th Governor of Oregon from 2003 to 2011. A member of the Democratic Party,he served in both houses of the Oregon Legislative Assembly and also served as the state Insurance Commissioner. He was the Attorney General of Oregon from 1993 to 1997 and a justice of the Oregon Supreme Court from 1997 to 2001. Kulongoski has served in all three branches of the Oregon state government.
Multnomah Falls is a waterfall located on Multnomah Creek in the Columbia River Gorge,east of Troutdale,between Corbett and Dodson,Oregon,United States. The waterfall is accessible from the Historic Columbia River Highway and Interstate 84. Spanning two tiers on basalt cliffs,it is the tallest waterfall in the state of Oregon at 620 ft (189 m) in height. The Multnomah Creek Bridge,built in 1914,crosses below the falls,and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Sellwood Bridge is a deck arch bridge that spans the Willamette River in Portland,Oregon,in the United States. The current bridge opened in 2016 and replaced a 1925 span that had carried the same name. The original bridge was Portland's first fixed-span bridge and,being the only river crossing for miles in each direction,the busiest two-lane bridge in Oregon.
Bill Sizemore is an American political activist and writer in Redmond,Oregon,United States. Sizemore has never held elected office,but has nonetheless been a major political figure in Oregon since the 1990s. He is considered one of the main proponents of the Oregon tax revolt,a movement that seeks to reduce taxes in the state. Oregon Taxpayers United,a political action committee he founded in 1993,has advanced numerous ballot initiatives limiting taxation,and has opposed spending initiatives. Sizemore made an unsuccessful run for Governor of Oregon in 1998. He also announced his intention to run for governor in 2010,but was indicted by the state on charges of tax evasion. The charges were later amended to failure to file tax returns.
Same-sex marriage has been legally recognized in Oregon since May 19,2014,when Judge Michael J. McShane of the U.S. District Court for the District Court of Oregon ruled in Geiger v. Kitzhaber that Oregon's 2004 state constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriages discriminated on the basis of sexual orientation in violation of the Equal Protection Clause of the U.S. Constitution. A campaign that was then under way to win voter approval of a constitutional amendment legalizing same-sex marriage was suspended following the decision. Oregon was the seventeenth U.S. state to legalize same-sex marriage. In July 2015,Governor Kate Brown signed legislation codifying same-sex marriage in various Oregon statutes. The law change went into effect on January 1,2016.

The Multnomah Bar Association (MBA) is a voluntary bar association located in Portland,Oregon. The organization is also sometimes referred to as the Multnomah County Bar Association. Although named after Multnomah County membership in the association is open to all lawyers in the State of Oregon. The present MBA was founded in 1906. There was an earlier group of attorneys,also called the Multnomah Bar Association,which appears to have dissolved some time in the early 1900s.
