Jane Dubin is an American producer of Broadway plays. [2] She won a Tony Award in 2009 for The Norman Conquests, for the Best Broadway Play Revival of 2009. [2] [3] Her productions have won Tony Awards for An American in Paris (2015) as well as Ann and Peter the Starcatcher. [1] She has worked as a board member with the Houses on the Moon theater company. [5] [6] She is president of Double Play Connections. [1] She co-produced The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey which was nominated at the Lucille Lortel Awards in 2016 for best Solo Show. [4] [7] At age 40, she underwent an abrupt career transformation, going from investment management to the "big, shining lights of Broadway"; she started out by helping with the business end of productions, and gradually became a full-fledged Broadway producer. [8] Dubin is a graduate of the University of Rochester and worked for years as an actuary before becoming a Broadway producer. [2] [1]

Second Stage Theater is a theater company founded in 1979 by Robyn Goodman and Carole Rothman and located in Manhattan, New York City. It produces both new plays and revivals of contemporary American plays by new playwrights and established writers. The company has two off-Broadway theaters, their main stage, the Tony Kiser Theater at 305 West 43rd Street on the corner of Eighth Avenue near the Theater District, and the McGinn/Cazale Theater at 2162 Broadway and 76th Street, on the Upper West Side. In April 2015, the company expanded into Broadway theater productions when it bought the Helen Hayes Theater.

The White Barn Theatre was a theater founded in 1947 by actress and producer Lucille Lortel on her property in the Cranbury neighborhood in Norwalk, Connecticut. The theater premiered numerous plays by established playwrights that often continued to successful Broadway and Off-Broadway runs.

The Lucille Lortel Awards recognize excellence in New York Off-Broadway theatre. The Awards are named for Lucille Lortel, an actress and theater producer, and have been awarded since 1986. They are produced by the League of Off-Broadway Theatres and Producers by special arrangement with the Lucille Lortel Foundation, with additional support from the Theatre Development Fund.

Jocelyn Bioh is a Ghanaian-American writer, playwright and actor. She graduated from Ohio State University with a BA in English and got her master's degree in Playwriting from Columbia University. Jocelyn's Broadway credits include The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. She has performed in regional and off-Broadway productions of An Octoroon, Bootycandy and For Colored Girls. She has written many of her own plays that have been produced in national and collegiate theaters.
