Team GB, organised by BOA, sent a total of 541 athletes, 279 men and 262 women, to the Games, and won automatic qualification places in all 26 sports.
Zoe Smith is an English weightlifter. In October 2010 she won a bronze medal in the women's 58kg division at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India, her first senior international competition, to become the first English woman to win a Commonwealth Games weightlifting medal. Smith competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and finished 12th in the Women's 58kg division. After missing the 2016 Summer Olympics following an injury, she finished eighth in the 59kg at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Zoë van der Weel is a British-Norwegian retired handball player, who plays for the Norwegian club Aker Topphåndball. She played for the British national team, and competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. van der Weel was born in Edinburgh to Dutch parents and moved to Trondheim in Norway at age five. She is a dual citizen of Norway and the United Kingdom. She has played for the Norwegian teams Byåsen IL and Nordstrand IF, and studied sports biology at the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences.
Britt Goodwin is a Norwegian-British Olympic handball player. She was born in Gjøvik.
Sally Conway is a Scottish retired judoka who competed for Team GB in the 2012 and the 2016 Rio Olympics in the women's 70 kg judo event. Conway won a bronze medal in the 2016 Olympics. She competed for Scotland at women's 70 kg judo event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, where she won a bronze medal.
Lynn McCafferty is a British handball player, born in Coatbridge. She has played for the British national team, and competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
