The Divorce is an Australian comedy opera miniseries which was broadcast on ABC TV on four successive nights from 7 to 10 December 2015. The four-part series is written by Joanna Murray-Smith with music by Elena Kats-Chernin. Based on an original idea by Lyndon Terracini, it was developed by Opera Australia and directed for television by Dean Murphy. Outside filming took place at Werribee Park Mansion west of Melbourne. The work was shown again in 2017 in a single 95-minute broadcast on Sky Arts and ABC TV.
The Acacia Quartet is a string quartet based in Australia. It was founded in 2010 by violinists Lisa Stewart and Myee Clohessy, violist Stefan Duwe, and cellist Anna Martin-Scrase. Stewart and Clohessy both play A. E Smith violins. The quartet were artists-in-residence at the radio station Fine Music 102.5 from 2014 to 2016. They made their international debut performing the 2-hour long AIDS Memoir Quartet of Lyle Chan in Vancouver, Canada and then travelled to Berlin to perform and record several string quartets by the Nazi-banned late German composer Günter Raphael. Their discography demonstrates their longstanding collaborations with Australian composers Lyle Chan, Elena Kats-Chernin. and Moya Henderson. Jane Sheldon recorded with the quartet.
Sydney Alpha Ensemble is an Australian contemporary music ensemble.
Macquarie Trio is an Australian chamber music ensemble. They received nominations for the 1996 and 2001 ARIA Awards for Best Classical Album with their album Beethoven Piano Trios and Schubert: Complete Piano Trios. The Trio has commissioned works by Nigel Westlake and Elena Kats-Chernin. The Trio disbanded in 2006 after the Macquarie University withdrew their funding.
