Janine Sandell (born 7 December 1985) is a British volleyball player. She competed for Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Olympics. [3] Sandell was a member of the Great Britain team that won their first ever match in the modern Summer Olympics women's volleyball competition. [4] She moved to Spain to play volleyball professionally [3] in club CV Albacete [5] and has played in several Spanish clubs since. [6]
Yekaterina Aleksandrovna Gamova is a retired Russian volleyball player. She was a member of the Russian national team that won the gold medals at the 2006 and 2010 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championships, and the silver medal in both the Athens 2004 and Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Due to her stature and dominance at the net, she has been hailed as the "Queen of Volleyball". She is 2.05 m tall with EU size 49 feet, making her one of the tallest female athletes in the world. She is also the second highest paid female player in professional volleyball history. Her role was outside hitter/opposite.
Sheilla Tavares de Castro is a former volleyball player from Brazil, who represented her native country at the 2008 Summer Olympics and in the 2012 Summer Olympics. On both occasions the Brazilian national team won the gold medal. She also played the 2016 Summer Olympics, when Brazil placed fifth. She retired on April 9, 2022.
