Janis K. Lee (born July 11, 1945) was the chief hearing officer for the Kansas Court of Tax Appeals from 2011 until 2013. She was a Democratic member of the Kansas Senate representing the 36th district from 1989 until 2011. She was Assistant Minority (Democratic) Leader of the Kansas Senate from 1997 until her appointment as a hearing officer. She was also the vice-president of the Unified School District 238 Board of Education.

In 2019, she was appointed by Governor Laura Kelly to co-chair the governor's Council on Tax Reform [1] alongside former state Sen. Steve Morris.

Anthony Hensley is a former Democratic member of the Kansas Senate, representing the 19th district since 1992. He was the Minority Leader from 1996 through 2021 and has also been a committeeman of the Democratic Precinct since 1976. In 1992, he was the Majority Whip. Catherine Andrea Giessel is an American politician. A member of the Republican Party, she has served as Majority Leader of the Alaska Senate since 2023. From 2013 to 2021, Giessel represented District N in the Alaska Senate, including Northeast Anchorage, Anchorage Hillside and the Turnagain Arm communities of Bird, Girdwood, Indian, and Anchorage, all within the Municipality of Anchorage.
