Jannat Mirza (born 14 September 2000) is a Pakistani social media personality and actress. She is known for her lip-sync and comedy videos on TikTok and is among the most-followed content creators from Pakistan. [1] [2] [3]

Early life and education

Mirza was born in Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan. She studied at the University of Faisalabad. Her father, Mirza Anjum Kamal, is a government officer. Her sisters, Alishba Anjum and Sehar Mirza, are also active on social media platforms. [4]

Career

Mirza started creating content on TikTok in 2018. Her videos gained popularity, and she became the most-followed Pakistani creator on the platform, reaching 25 million followers as of June 2024. [1]

In 2022, she made her acting debut in the Punjabi film Tere Bajre Di Rakhi , directed by Syed Noor. [5] The film was released on Eid al-Fitr 2022. [6]

In 2025, she was appointed as social media mbassador of Peshawar Zalmi for Pakistan Super League season 10. [7]

Personal life

In August 2024, Mirza announced the end of her engagement to Umer Fayyaz Butt, citing personal differences. She later expressed a preference for arranged marriage and clarified that the decision to separate was mutual. [8]

In March 2025, she stated in a television interview that she would consider marrying abroad, provided her family could frequently visit her. [9]

Controversies

In April 2025, Mirza faced criticism on social media for not commenting on rising tensions between India and Pakistan. She later responded by advocating for peace and stating that "war is not a solution." [10]
