Janne Jokila (born April 22, 1982) is a Finnish former professional ice hockey player who last played for Milton Keynes Lightning in the English Premier Ice Hockey League. His former teams include HC TPS of the SM-liiga and Syracuse Crunch of the AHL. [1]
His career began with HC TPS before moving to North America in 2002 after taking part in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, being selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets, although he would never go on to play in the NHL. He returned to Finland in 2005 and moved to the UK in 2012.
Jokila has represented the Finland men's national ice hockey team at the Under 18's World Championship in 2000 and the Under 20's World Championship in 2002.
His brother, Jarmo Jokila, is also a professional ice hockey player with HC Banská Bystrica in the Slovak Extraliga. [2]

Raimo Ilmari Helminen is a Finnish former professional ice hockey player. He is often called "Raipe" or "Maestro" by his fans. He is the world record holder for most international games played by a hockey player, as well as for tied for being the hockey player in the most Olympic Games, and his 26 seasons as a professional is one of the longest careers in professional hockey history. He was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2012.
Toni Dahlman is a Finnish former professional ice hockey player. He played 22 games in the National Hockey League with the Ottawa Senators.
Frölunda Hockey Club, previously known as the Frölunda Indians, is a Swedish professional ice hockey club based in Gothenburg. They currently play in the highest Swedish league, the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), formerly the Elitserien, where they have played for most of the club's existence. They last played in the lower division, the Allsvenskan, in 1995. Frölunda have won the national championship title five times: in 1965, 2003, 2005, 2016 and 2019.
Hockey Club Kirkkonummen Salamat or HCK Salamat are a Finnish ice hockey team in the III-divisioona, the fifth-tier men's ice hockey league in Finland. They play in Kirkkonummi, a municipality in the western Greater Helsinki region, at Varuboden-areena. The club was founded in 2002 as HC Salamat and played in the Mestis during 2003 to 2008.
Timo Petteri Nummelin is a Finnish former professional ice hockey defenceman who played in the National Hockey League for the Minnesota Wild and Columbus Blue Jackets. He was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets as their fifth-round pick, #133 overall, in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. Internationally, he played for the Finland men's national ice hockey team, and was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2024.
Fredrik Jan Elis Norrena is a Finnish former professional ice hockey goaltender. He played 100 games in the National Hockey League with the Columbus Blue Jackets between 2006 and 2008. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1992 to 2014, was mainly spent in Europe, where he mainly played in the Finnish SM-liiga and Swedish Elitserien. Internationally Norrena played for the Finnish national team at five World Championships, winning one silver and one bronze medal, and the 2006 Winter Olympics, winning a silver medal.
Janne Juhani Niskala is a Finnish former professional ice hockey defenceman. He last played for Lukko of the Finnish Liiga.
Jani Petteri Hurme is a Finnish former professional ice hockey goaltender. He played 76 games in the National Hockey League with the Ottawa Senators and Florida Panthers between 2000 and 2003. He also played several seasons in the Finnish SM-liiga during his career, which lasted from 1993 to 2011. He was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the third round of the 1997 NHL Entry Draft with the 58th overall pick. Internationally Hurme played for the Finnish national team at the 2002 Winter Olympics and the 2003 World Championship.
Hannu Markus Virta is a retired Finnish professional ice hockey defenceman. He was named the best defenceman in the Finnish Elite League (SM-liiga) four times, and was a five-time all-star. He also won the Jarmo Wasama memorial trophy as rookie of the year in 1981–82.
Jarmo Kekäläinen is a Finnish professional ice hockey executive and former player who briefly played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Boston Bruins and Ottawa Senators. Since his retirement, Kekäläinen has served as an executive, most notably as the general manager of the Columbus Blue Jackets from 2013 to 2024.

Joni Ortio is a Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender who plays for HC Ässät Pori of the Finnish Elite League. He has previously played for the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was a sixth-round selection of the Flames, 171st overall, at the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Before the NHL he played for TPS and HIFK Helsinki in the SM-liiga. Internationally, Ortio has represented Finland on four occasions. He was a member of the bronze medal-winning team at the 2009 IIHF World U18 Championships and played in the 2013 World Championship
