Jared Rando (born 1981 [1] ) is an Australian downhill mountain biker, signed to Giant Bicycles. Rando has competed at every UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championships from 1999 to 2009, participating in both downhill and fourcross events. At the 2009 championships, he finished 16th, 6 seconds behind winner Steve Peat. [2] Previous highlights include 1st at the 2006 Australian mountain bike championships, and 1st in the 2001 Oceania mountain bike championships.

The event was the 20th edition of the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships and the 24th edition of the UCI Trials World Championships.

2006 UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championships

The 2006 UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championships were held in Rotorua, New Zealand from 22 to 27 August 2006. The disciplines included were cross-country, downhill, four-cross, and trials. The event was the 17th edition of the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships and the 21st edition of the UCI Trials World Championships.

The 2002 UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championships were held in Kaprun, Austria from 24 August to 1 September 2002. The disciplines included were cross-country, downhill, four-cross, and trials.
