Jashore Polytechnic Institute (JPI) is a public polytechnic institute located in Jashore, Bangladesh. It is one of the biggest and oldest polytechnic institutes in Bangladesh.
In 1964 it was established on 15 acres of land. Initially, there was a system of teaching both technical and technical disciplines, but in 1969–70, [1] the teaching of mechanical, technology was introduced. Later, it was joined with electrical, electronic, computer and telecommunication technology. [1] On 30 January 2006, the institute saw fractional clashes between activists of Bangladesh Jatiotabadi Chatra Dal activists. [2] On 15 May 2012, the institute was closed after vandalism by activists of Bangladesh Chattra League. [3]

After working 18 years as a scientist at California Institute of Technology and Bell Communications Research, he returned to Bangladesh and joined Shahjalal University of Science and Technology as a professor of Computer Science and Engineering. He retired from his teaching profession in October 2018.
Jessore District officially Jashore District, is a district in southwestern Bangladesh. It is bordered by India to the west, Khulna and Satkhira districts to the south, Khulna and Narail to the east, and Jhenaidah and Magura districts to the north. Textile schools in Bangladesh offer various academic and professional degrees in textile fields.
