Jason Henhawk (born September 18, 1980, in Niagara Falls, Ontario) [1] is a First Nation lacrosse player who played for the Rochester Knighthawks, a professional box lacrosse team in the North Division of the National Lacrosse League of the United States. At 16, he became the youngest man to play in the National Lacrosse League, in 1998. [2]
On August 25, 2008, Jason Henhawk signed a three-year agreement with Knighthawks. [3]
In 2006, Henhawk took part in the National Lacrosse League playing for Toronto Rock. Later, in 2009, he played his sixth season in the same league. During the game Henhawk injured his left leg in fight for loose ball and was removed with an ambulance. [4]
In his nine-season Jason competed with Buffalo, Montreal, Albany, Toronto and Columbus, the 6–0, 215-pound forward scored seven goals and added five 12 point assists. Henhawk faced less success during his first year, getting four goals and one assist, in 1998, in the league with the Buffalo Bandits.
He closed the 2008 Six Nations season with capturing 19 points (10+9) in 12 appearances. Henhawk performed his Junior "A" lacrosse with the Six Nations Arrows and was honored with the Jack Bionda Memorial Award. [1]
The National Lacrosse League (NLL) is a men's professional box lacrosse league in North America. Headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the NLL currently has fifteen teams: ten in the United States and five in Canada. The NLL ranks third in average attendance for pro indoor sports worldwide, behind only the NHL and NBA. Unlike other box lacrosse leagues which play in the summer, the NLL plays its games in the winter and spring, from December to June. Each year, the playoff teams battle for the National Lacrosse League Cup. The NLL has averaged between 8,900 and 10,700 spectators per game each year since 2004.
John Christopher Grant Jr. is a professional lacrosse player who has played in Major League Lacrosse, the National Lacrosse League, and the Ontario Lacrosse Association. Grant Jr. was named men's lacrosse Offensive Coordinator at Johns Hopkins in 2020.
Dan Dawson is a Canadian professional lacrosse player for the Toronto Rock of the National Lacrosse League, Brampton Excelsiors (MSL) of Major Series Lacrosse, and is currently a free agent in Major League Lacrosse. Dawson ranks 3rd on the all-time NLL points list as of the end of the 2020 season. He is a 7 time NLL All Pro selection. As a professional, he is a 7 time Mann Cup Canadian box lacrosse champion, and a 1 time Major League Lacrosse (field) champion (2009 Toronto Nationals. Representing Canada, Dawson has won two World Indoor Lacrosse Championship titles and was a finalist in the 2010 World Lacrosse Championship. Dawson has won two Champion's Cups as a member of the Rochester Knighthawks in 2013 and 2014.
Shawn Williams is a retired Canadian lacrosse player who played for the Buffalo Bandits of the National Lacrosse League and formerly of the Hamilton Nationals of Major League Lacrosse. He is now an assistant coach with the Colorado Mammoth. He was inducted to the NLL Hall of Fame in 2021 as a first ballot nominee.

After finishing the regular season atop the East Division, the Rochester Knighthawks continued winning in the playoffs and took their third consecutive Champion's Cup, the first time a team has won the league title three straight years.
The 2015 National Lacrosse League season, the 29th in the history of the NLL, began on January 2, 2015, and ended with Game 2 of the Champion's Cup Finals series on June 5, 2015. In the finals, the Edmonton Rush defeated the Toronto Rock two games to none to win their first-ever Champion's Cup.
