Jason P. Lorber is a consultant,comedian and politician from Burlington,Vermont. A Democrat,he served in the Vermont House of Representatives from 2005 to 2013,representing the Chittenden-3-3 district in Burlington. He was first elected in November 2004 and did not seek re-election in 2012. [1]
Born in Philadelphia,Pennsylvania,Lorber graduated from the University of California,Berkeley with a BA and earned a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University. [2] He founded a business called Aplomb Consulting, [3] which facilitates change in organizations and businesses through strategic planning,tailored workshops,executive coaching,and organizational development. Lorber works directly with Executive Directors,CEOs,board members and other leaders of businesses,not-for-profit organizations,and government agencies. [4]
First elected to the legislature in November 2004,he was re-elected in 2006,2008 and 2010. He served on the House Institutions &Corrections Committee,and the House Commerce and Economic Committee,and focused much of his legislative effort on prison reform. [5] He hosted a television program called "Correcting Corrections" broadcast on CCTV Channel 17. [6]
As a standup comedian,Lorber opened for Joan Rivers. [7]

The Vermont General Assembly is the legislative body of the state of Vermont,in the United States. The Legislature is formally known as the "General Assembly",but the style of "Legislature" is commonly used,including by the body itself. The General Assembly is a bicameral legislature,consisting of the 150-member Vermont House of Representatives and the 30-member Vermont Senate. He previously served two terms as the 82nd lieutenant governor of Vermont,from 2017 to 2021. A member of the Vermont Progressive Party,he previously served in the Vermont House of Representatives for seven terms (1997–2011),and the Vermont Senate for two (2013–2017). In 2020,Zuckerman was a candidate for governor of Vermont. The Chittenden-3-3 Representative District is a two-member state Representative district in the U.S. state of Vermont. It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002,2004,2006,2008,and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. Census.
