Jason Calvin Pooley (born 8 August 1969) is a former cricketer,who represented Middlesex County Cricket Club in the County Championship. Pooley is now retired from cricket.
A left-handed batsman,Pooley played 82 first-class matches and 103 List A matches.
"He did not appear after 1998,when he was in effect a one-day specialist,becoming the second team coach in which role he continued to appear for the 2nd XI. He was also assistant coach to John Emburey." [1]
Pooley's highest first-class score was 138* versus Cambridge University. [2] His highest score against a county was 136,against Gloucestershire. [2]
Pooley now lives with his wife and three children. His brother,Gregg,played second XI cricket for a number of counties. [3]

Lionel Charles Hamilton Palairet was an English amateur cricketer who played for Somerset and Oxford University. A graceful right-handed batsman,he was selected to play Test cricket for England twice in 1902. Contemporaries judged Palairet to have one of the most attractive batting styles of the period. His obituary in The Times described him as "the most beautiful batsman of all time". An unwillingness to tour during the English winter limited Palairet's Test appearances;contemporaries believed he deserved more Test caps.
Arthur Haygarth was a noted amateur cricketer who became one of cricket's most significant historians. He played first-class cricket for the Marylebone Cricket Club and Sussex between 1844 and 1861,as well as numerous other invitational and representative teams including an England XI and a pre-county Middlesex. A right-handed bat,Haygarth played 136 games now regarded as first-class,scoring 3,042 runs and taking 19 wickets with his part-time bowling. He was educated at Harrow,which had established a rich tradition as a proving ground for cricketers. He served on many MCC committees and was elected a life member in 1864.
Chris Old is a former English cricketer,who played 46 Tests and 32 ODIs from 1972 to 1981. A right-arm fast-medium bowler and lower order left-handed batsman,Old was a key feature of the Yorkshire side between 1969 and 1983,before finishing his career at Warwickshire in 1985. As a Test bowler for England he took 143 wickets,and scored useful runs in the famous 1981 Ashes series' Headingley victory. He was a part of the English squad which finished as runners-up at the 1979 Cricket World Cup.
James Charles Hildreth is a former English professional cricketer who played for Somerset County Cricket Club. He attended Millfield School,Somerset. He is a right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler. Hildreth represented England at all youth levels including the 2003–04 Under-19 World cup held in Bangladesh. He made his first-class debut in 2003 and became a regular member of the side from the start of the 2004 season. The James Hildreth Stand was opened by him at Somerset County Cricket Ground on 21 September 2022.
Matthew Jonathan Walker,known as Matt Walker,is a retired English professional cricketer who is currently the head coach of Kent County Cricket Club. Walker was appointed as head coach in January 2017 having been assistant coach at the county since the 2014 season. He played for Kent for 16 seasons until 2008 and then for three seasons for Essex until he retired in 2011.
